More Atelier fun to come!

If you’ve read my blog on a regular bases you’ll know I’m a big fan of the Atelier series, created by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo. As they have been doing for 20 years this year. I’ve been playing a lot of the most recent (18th) title, Atelier Firis and the Mysterious Journey, you can find my review here.

More Atelier fun to come!

Today the plans for the future where announced that are very exiting to me: a new mobile game Atelier Online will be released! It is described as a world and game systems based on the Atelier series.

We can expect the wonderful world of Atelier and lots of synthesis features, strategic battles that revolve around time-lines, and other things I love about the series. Of course, release in Japan (winter 2017/2018) will come first, but Koei Tecmo has a good history of bringing the games West.

The game is very much about playing online with others, which should work nicely on mobile. New to the Atelier games too, as my Vita versions didn’t have multiplayer features at all.

A sequel to Atelier Firis too

The other tidbit of good news was the announcement of the new main series game that’s going to be called Atelier Lidy & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting. That’s the translation from the Japanese title, so that might still change.

So, good news all around. First of all, here’s the trailer of Atelier Online. Enjoy!

    1. Me too, but you’re right. How do they do it! Have you ever noticed someone at Gust must be German? There are always a lot of German names in the Atelier world!
