YvoCaro Plays: readers want more reviews

Time to sit down for another YvoCaro Plays. As always, these blurbs are mostly about the video games I’m currently playing. Unedited thoughts that spring up in my mind, mostly game related. And sometimes a random train of thoughts starting with the game and ending somewhere completely different!

If you like these bits of gaming thoughts you can find the previous ones here

What content would you like to see?

Mid July, I asked all of you loyal readers what content you liked to see more of here on LadiesGamers.com. As you know, the content of the site has changed over the years. What started out as a personal blog over 5 years ago has turned into a site that has new content every day!

Our loyal team of writers has made this possible. Plus the kindness of indie developers and publishing companies who help us out with review codes. As this is a non-profit site that is very welcome, otherwise we would never be able to bring this much content to the site.

But let’s see what your thoughts are, which content would you like to see more off? Here are the results:

The majority of people go for more reviews and more gaming news! Followed by more articles like the top 10’s or the Best of ..Perfect!

More reviews, more gaming news

We are very happy to try for more reviews. It seems we have found our niche in covering indie games that are flocking to the Nintendo Switch. But more reviews means we need more writers. All of us have daily life interfering with our gaming and writing on a regular basis, so there aren’t always enough people to pick up the codes offered.

Jonah has currently picked up the task to make a couple of gaming news articles each week about games that stand out to us. Seeing how you voted for this too, it would be great if we could make it an addition to the site on a regular basis. Which is why we are also looking for people who aspire to be a gaming reporter: gather fun news and make it into an article to get the word out there.

So, if you are interested, find out how you can apply here: New writers welcome

  1. I didn’t take part in the poll; but my favourite content at Ladiesgamers are definitely your editorials and gamings thoughts, Yvonne. I love your positive and lighthearted writing style, which draw me to your blog in the first place. <3 Hope you'll keep writing those! 🙂

      1. As you know, it’s more like (my crazy busy) life itself is preventing me from blogging (and playing)… 😛 But I can at least save a little time to read my fellow gamers’ blogs, and that keeps me connected to gaming! 😀
