It’s the weekend, so it’s time for our tasty bag of Pick ‘n’ Mix Games!
The games listed here have been played by the contributors and all cost less than £15, but most will cost less than £10. Small prices, but great play value! Let’s take a look at our bag for this week.
Swap This! – Nintendo Switch
Swap This! is a fun match puzzle game that’s bright, cheerful, and provides the player with hours of fun. Hoards of fish like creatures are trapped within blocks of ice and can only be freed by swapping and matching blocks featuring fish of the same type and colour. The game boasts four modes, 3 of which offers slightly different variations of the basic game and a puzzle mode. What’s more, the game is currently on sale for £0.90 / €1,00 / $0.99.

The DenPa Men 3: The Rise of the Digitoll
On older game this time, and one that was overlooked even when it was new to the 3DS eShop. The third instalment of the DenPa Men games reached us, digital only, in 2014.
It’s a traditional sort of RPG, turn based battle and a clear storyline to let you sail from island to island. On your quest you encounter colourful monsters of animal-like or plant-like variety. But what’s so special about it is the DenPa Men themselves. You catch these coloured creatures riding on the wifi-waves, all around you. And if you look online, you’ll surely still find QR codes you can read into your game to get special abilities.
I put my thoughts to paper back then, so you can check them out here. In a way they remind me a bit of Pikmin, but these critters also decorate houses and plant gardens, although in a small way. The game is still available in the eShop for $ 9,99|£ 8.99|€ 9,99. And there’s even a demo available to check out!
Unexplored: Unlocked Edition – Nintendo Switch (Code provided by Digerati)
Unexplored, is a great dungeon-crawl game in a top-down perspective. It has randomised items, enemies, layouts and puzzles – keeping it interesting while providing plenty of replay-ability. However, each dungeon layout,etc has a “seed” number, so you can revisit a dungeon to try and improve on the previous attempt (if you wanted to).
The Unlocked Edition includes the original game and has the three DLC packs included: Mithril Run, Ripley Run, and The Dark Ritual. Each is themed in some way and offers a slightly different way of play compared to the main game – certainly adds another layer of fun! 😀

Just one more thing.
There’s another great match puzzle game that deserves a big mention this week. The original price for Tumblestone has been reduced by 75% in UK, European, and US eShop regions. The sale ends on 12th November so you need to take advantage of this sale by Monday. There’s also a demo available in case customers want to try before they buy. Play as a sausage!
