Another wholesome game on the horizon! As you know we are always on the lookout for nice new ones, and Alba: a Wildlife Adventure (by Ustwo Games) sure seems like a good one! It’s out on Steam and Apple Arcade already, but is expected on Switch (and PS and Xbox) this spring too.
Found the AIWRL
So what is the game about? Meet Alba, an enthusiastic youngster as she visits her grandparents on a Mediterranean island. She is ready for a peaceful summer of wildlife exploration with her friend Ines, but when she sees an animal in danger, she realises she needs to do something about it.
Although the island really seems like a Mediterranean paradise Alba can’t ignore all the litter! With Ines and her grandfather – who is a total bird nerd – by her side, she can start the movement to save the island. Maybe even the world after that.
Alba: a Wildlife Adventure brings you an entire island to explore, from idyllic beaches to the ancient castle overlooking the town!
Specifics of the Game
I must say Alba looks pretty good, sounds like a great addition to my Switch! Here are the specifics:
- Handcrafted visuals. Every little corner of the island has been looked after with great detail.
- Join Alba and Ines to found the AIWRL (really rolls off the tongue doesn’t it?), an organisation that can save the island
- You will need to gather a bunch of volunteers and the town is full of good people. Help them out and convince them to join you
- There are animals everywhere, can you find all the species?
