Atelier Mysterious Trilogy coming to Switch

More Atelier Games Coming to Switch

Good news for Atelier fans: the three games in the Mysterious series are coming to the Nintendo Switch in their DeLuxe version on April 22!

The trilogy has

  • Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey
  • Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
  • Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings.

These will be the DX versions of the games, but we don’t know exactly what it entails yet. What we do know is that for Atelier Sophie a new episode and costume is included.

The first two games have been available on Playstation, the PC and the PS Vita originally, and Atelier Lydie & Suelle was the first Atelier game to be released on the Nintendo Switch.

Out of the three I liked Atelier Sophie and Atelier Firis. I didn’t enjoy Atelier Lydie & Suelle though. You’d think it had to do with the gameplay, but for all three games that was pretty solid: just about what you’d expect for an Atelier game. Good synthesizing systems, great turn based battle (I like that!) but in the game about the twins I didn’t like the characters. Sure, most Atelier games are coming of age stories, but these two are really a couple of brats!

Still, it’s good to see more Atelier games coming to the Switch!
