Greatness Starts at the Beginning in Blockbuster Inc.
I want to share with you all how much I truly adore movies and television. There is something magical about being able to immerse yourself in a different world for a little while, whether it be a different time period, universe, or setting. Can you imagine the joy of creating your own worlds? What if you had the opportunity to start your very own film studio, where you could hire writers, producers, actors, and special effects artists to bring your vision to life?
In Blockbuster Inc., you have the power to make that dream a reality. This is a place where you are the ultimate creator. You have the ability to produce the movies that you have always wanted to see. With Blockbuster Inc, the possibilities are endless, and you are at the centre of it all. You can let your creativity flourish and bring your cinematic dreams to life. You are the star of your own show.
Look Familiar?
The image above may seem familiar to you, and that’s because it is reminiscent of The Sims. This is not a critique, as many of us have fond memories of playing The Sims and appreciate its aesthetics. The familiar layout is comforting and makes the game easy to navigate and understand, as it is a design that we are all familiar with.
Customisation Galore
I absolutely adore the level of customisation available with Blockbuster Inc. You have the ability to tailor movie sets to your exact preferences and genre specifications. It’s so easy to add, remove, or change elements as needed. The flexibility to adjust the size of the set and explore numerous other options is truly a game-changer.
While some may draw comparisons between Blockbuster Inc, and the 2005 game The Movies, I cannot personally speak to those comparisons or determine if Blockbuster Inc is a suitable alternative. However, based on my own experiences, I have found Blockbuster Inc to be incredibly satisfying and enjoyable.
Another feature I loved was the feature that allowed me to design my own studio layout just the way I wanted. The flexibility to adjust room sizes, change layouts, and customize wall and floor colours, as well as select different furniture options, reminded me of the building elements in The Sims.
This game isn’t just about managing movie production; it truly immerses you in the experience. If you feel unsure about creating your own layout, don’t worry – there are also pre-made rooms available for you to use. It’s all about making you feel comfortable and enjoying the process.
Creating a successful studio requires assembling a team of talented and dedicated individuals. You can easily hire employees from the employees tab, with each person bringing their own unique traits and abilities to the table. While some actors may have a reputation for being difficult to work with, they may bring an A-list level of skill and experience.
Similarly, some producers may not be well-known, but their dedication to perfection can elevate the quality of your projects. It’s important to embrace the diverse personalities and talents of your team members to create a thriving and dynamic work environment.
The Only Limit is Your Imagination
As I mentioned earlier, Blockbuster Inc. offers you the ability to bring your creative vision to life by creating your own movies and TV shows. Every aspect of your production can be customised to your liking. You have the freedom to select your preferred producer, writer, actors, and genres (based on research points earned).
Additionally, you can choose from a variety of sets and costumes to set the perfect scene for your story. With pre-set animations, you can direct your actors with ease, making it a truly immersive and enjoyable experience. Let your imagination run wild and create something truly unique with Blockbuster Inc.
Research, Research, Research
Let’s dive into the exciting research aspect that I briefly touched upon earlier in the review. By hiring a dedicated researcher to conduct in-depth studies, you will earn valuable RP (research points) that can be used to unlock a variety of new cameras, employee types, and genres for your studio. It’s truly amazing how this game allows you to feel like you are progressing through cinematic history as your studio evolves and grows in the coming decades.
The possibilities are endless in Blockbuster Inc., and while it may feel overwhelming at first, it’s all part of the fun and challenge that comes with running your own movie studio. Take your time, explore all the options, and enjoy the journey of building your very own blockbuster empire.
Conclusion
Blockbuster Inc. is an incredible game that offers players the opportunity to create their own film studios and movies. With so many options available, it can be overwhelming to know where to start.
