Ankora The Lost Days Kickstarter

Cute as Heck, Kickstarter Ankora: Lost Days

Chibig Studios is no stranger to Kickstarter projects. They funded Summer in Mara in this way, did the same recently with Deiland: Pocket Planet, both fundraisers were very successful. Now they are back, with a campaign for Ankora: Lost Days. The campaign has kicked off only very recently on September 7, and on the same day the initial goal of €20.000 was met. As Chibig wrote in their update: “we just blink and we get to our goal!” Let’s take a look at this newest addition.

The Chibig Universe

Mûn is a Junior Ranger from the Interstellar Patrol, stranded in Ankora, an unknown planet, after her spaceship crashes there. Ankora: Lost Days happens before the events in Deiland: Pocket Planet and Summer in Mara. If you have played Mara and Deiland you will have already met Mûn. As a teenager in Mara and an adult in Deiland. Ankora tells about the life of young Mûn growing up.

We did an interview a while back with Diego Freire, all the way from sunny Valencia Spain, and he explained the Chibig Universe:

“We have this idea of the “Chibig Universe”, where every game we made is connected with each other. The catch is not to make a sequel or prequel, rather stories more like spin-offs. If you start our Universe with Ankora, you will meet an adult Mûn in Deiland and a teenager Mûn in Summer in Mara, for example. And you can play them in any order.”

What to Expect in Ankora

Over here at LadiesGamers we loved both Mara and Deiland, so we are looking forward to this new game. The gist of it is that Mûn is a Junior Ranger from the Interstellar Patrol, stranded in Ankora, an unknown planet, after her spaceship crashes there. Mûn will need to craft her own tools to collect the necessary resources for her adventure and overcome obstacles: rivers, lakes and waterfalls, mountains… And many monsters.

She will soon learn to make her own paths, because Ankora is a unique and changing planet. Ankora is a huge place. Explore freely around this mysterious planet full of resources, but also dangers. Create different tools, build structures and unveil every corner of this wild planet terraforming the landscape in this calm and cute-as-heck survival game.

  • Mûn will need to craft her own tools to collect the necessary resources for her adventure. Play at your own pace, enjoying the small details of Ankora and its inhabitants.
  • Use the hammer to build structures, the shovel to dig and modify the terrain and other tools to collect resources from the planet. Use the bow and the spike to survive the biomes and dangers in Ankora.
  • Level up with each action and learn new recipes, skills in order to improve your chances of surviving.
  • There are 6 different biomes in Ankora: forest, desert, meadow, snow mountains, etc. and more than 100 map levels to explore with amaizing locations and many hidden secret places.
  • The visuals are inspired by the Studio Ghibli films like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. A modern setting in a fantasy universe.
