Fit Puzzle Blocks is a simple, free-block puzzle game from NanningsGames. This Steam-only game pits players against a whole bunch of block-fitting puzzles that will challenge their spatial reasoning.

Fit Puzzle Blocks Style of Play

This free-to-play game is a basic block puzzle game. While most of these types of titles are on mobile and plagued with ads, Fit Puzzle Blocks is free and doesn’t have a single advertisement that I saw. It’s just a simple plain that forms a picture, and players need to use the given blocks to fill in every square without overlapping.

All five of these have to fit in here somehow…

Completely Customizable

Fit Puzzle Blocks does one of the things that I love; it allows players to completely customize keybindings and color combinations of backgrounds and blocks. The music volume levels were adjustable and separate from the other sounds, and there was even an option for 2D or 3D play.

The music, while repetitive, had a nice beat, giving players something extra to fill in the spaces between puzzles. This game is well-polished and seemed to run very well.

The puzzles start off very easily.

Kind of Generic Puzzle Gaming

While Fit Puzzle Blocks is a great game, there isn’t much unique about it. All the puzzles range from simple to nearly impossible. There are a total of 300 puzzles. If you love this type of puzzle game, though, it’s hard to beat this one; developers of free games are sharing their hard work with us without any gain.

They get progressively harder.

That being said, there is some paid DLC that adds like 200 more puzzles for only $1.99 USD, which is kind of a steal. I am all for supporting developers, especially free games. That being said, I don’t think I will be picking up this DLC for myself. That is not Fit Puzzle Blocks’ fault though.

I’m not super good at these spatial puzzles, and I found myself rather frustrated. Block puzzles aren’t my wheelhouse, so I don’t hold that against Fit Puzzle Blocks. However, I found that for a block puzzle game, Fit Puzzle Blocks is very appealing.

Some of them make little dudes, like this cat? Dinosaur? Pup?

Conclusion

I love free games, free puzzle games that are fun. I love little paid addons for free puzzle games so you can support the dev if you love the game. In addition, I like accessible games that can be customized to be more user-friendly, and I love games that allow me to use a controller. While block puzzles may not be my puzzle of choice, I can see a well-made block puzzle game when I see it.

And while playing Fit Puzzle Blocks, I definitely saw one.

Final Verdict: I Like it a Lot.
I like it a lot
