It’s that time again, time to look at the news that stood out to us. This week we have news about how Ikea recreated their catalogue Animal Crossing style, Nodding Heads Games about the Indie World Showcase, Witch Spring coming to Switch, Prinny® 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!, Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin art book and Kickstarter Beasts of Maravilla funded.
Ikea Recreated Catalogue Animal Crossing Style
We have more then once covered the various ways that Animal Crossing New Horizons is influencing the real world. Ikea, the famous Swedish furniture retailer, has a unique way to get some extra marketing tool for some extra publicity. Ikea Taiwan has recreated a number of pages from its iconic catalog using characters and in-game items from the Nintendo title.
It posted the results on its official Facebook page. Check the pictures below. On top that’s the normal page, and at the bottom the same page recreated with Animal Crossing New Horizons items. Lovely!
Nodding Heads Games about the Indie World Showcase
During the amazing Indie World Showcase we saw last week (find the wrap up with all game details here) I think we once again found that indie developers are bringing us amazing titles. Plus, the indie developers themselves are super exited to be a part of the Direct. For instance, see the reaction of the people behind Raji: an Ancient Epic. As Nodding Heads Games founder Avichal Singh tells us in a very touching article on LinkedIn. Thanks to @Stealth40K for bringing it to our attention!
The Founder of Nodding Heads Games, the studio behind Raji, spoke from the heart on Linkedin on what it meant to be included in the last Indie World.
This is why these Indie World presentations are so important. pic.twitter.com/jIBCXFJWjO

Witch Spring coming to Switch
Have you ever heard about the Witch Spring games? It started in 2015 and now has four games available on iOS and Android with over 1.7 million downloads already. In Japan! Now, Studio Artdink has announced that they are bringing the third game in the Witch Spring fantasy RPG series to Nintendo Switch.
Witch Spring 3 tells the story of Eirudy, the Marionette Witch. Eirudy lives in a house in the Misty Forest, where she crafts tools and magic, and trains herself for battle against warriors who have it in for her as she encounters them outside while looking for magical ingredients. To fight the warriors, you must wake your dolls and use them in combat as you lead Eirudy, the Marionette Witch, towards the path of light.
Of course, we can only hope it will come West too, as it looks like a cute game. Check out the trailer!
Prinny® 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!
Yep, you read that right. Panties! On October 16, the package Prinny 1+ 2 Exploded and Reloaded is coming to the Switch. Looking at the Prinnys I don’t think there’s any way they can put them on, but well. Here is what it’s about:
The mysterious Phantom Thief has stolen Master Etna’s…um, unmentionables, and the Prinny horde must once again step up to retrieve them! Hip Pound your way through chaotic stages full of devilish foes, and build up the Combo Gauge to unleash powerful moves like Prinny Cyclone and Prinnykaze.
Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin art book
As part of the Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Divine Edition the Japanese website for the game is showing a lovely art book that’s included in the edition. You can find the examples of the art on the website here.
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in North American on November 10, 2020, and November 20, 2020 for Europe.
Kickstarter Beasts of Maravilla funded
More then funded, actually! They managed to find backing for of $ 25,325, while the amount asked for was $ 10,000. That’s 252%!
Creator Michelle Olson expresses her gratitude at this great Kickstarter project:
Wow – it’s crazy that a month has already flown by! When we started this journey, we never even dreamed that we would reach so many people and garner so much support – it’s been humbling, inspiring, and absolutely amazing to see what our game has achieved – all thanks to YOU ALL!!
