It’s that time again, time for the weekend gaming news! This weekend, we’ve got news about: Bravely Default II is announced, a prize for Stranded Sails, a Christmas demo for Link-a-Pix DeLuxe, the Switch games that won at the Game Awards 2019, a Ni no Kuni movie coming to Netflix and Two Point Hospital announced.
Bravely Default II announced
What a nice surprise: a new Bravely Default game is coming, simply named II. A bit confusing perhaps, as the last two games were called Bravely Default and Bravely Second.
Of course, Bravely Default itself is a sequel to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light: a DS game I remember I was eager to see released in 2010, which was SE’s first outing to a Final Fantasy adventure with a twist. Colourful, cute and still with a fighting system and lots of jobs that make an RPG so enjoyable.
SE succeeded in making the Bravely Default series a succes and went on in the same vein in making Octopath Traveler. And now we are getting a game that is produced by Team Asano: a collaboration between the team that worked on the original game and on Octopath Traveler. Looking forward to it!
Stranded Sails Best Mobile Game
Congratulations for the people at Lemonbomb and Rokaplay: their game Stranded Sails was voted the Best Mobile Game at the German Developer Prize!! They sure deserve it, I was quite happy about their simulation adventure game on the Switch (find my review here).
Special Christmas demo Link-a-Pix DeLuxe
For the third year running, Lightwood is launching a new picture puzzle game with a special Christmas-themed playable demo! The free demo of Link-a-Pix Deluxe is available on the Nintendo eShop now, but for a limited time only. This special demo contains four seasonal pictures to try in various sizes.
Link-a-Pix Deluxe is their latest picross-style game featuring puzzles by Conceptis. Puzzles are solved by painting lines of pixels between clues, where the number and colour of each clue tell you how long the line must be and which colour to use.
The main game will release on January 2nd on Nintendo Switch, and on January 7th on the PS Vita.

Ni no Kuni movie on Netflix
I have only recently joined the Netflix service, and I was happy to see that another must see movie is coming to Netflix. The Ni no Kuni movie launched in Japan on August 23, 2019 and tells an original story. Yuu and Haru, played by Kento Yamazaki and Mackenyu Arata, are two high schoolers who find themselves going between our world and Ni no Kuni after their childhood friend Kotona, who is Haru’s girlfriend, is attacked.
If you played the game, you know that Ni no Kuni is another fantasy world parallel to ours. In that other world, a counterpart to all the people on our world live their own lives. Once in Ni no Kuni, they realize Kotona has a counterpart named Asya. In order for one of the women to live, the other must die. However, Yuu, who has always had feelings for Kotona, develops feelings for Asya.
You will be able to begin watching it as of January 16, 2020.
Two Point Hospital announced
In this management game, you design your own hospital, place decorative object and improve patient happiness to keep those end of year awards rolling in. You have to battle a range of highly unusual illnesses, the likes of which you’ve never seen before. Ilnesses like Light-headedness, Premature Mummification and Cubism!
To do this you have to train your staff, upgrade machines, research new cures and spread your healthcare organisation across the whole of Two Point County. Certainly sounds like my kinda game!
Two Point Hospital is coming to all consoles on February 25
