Gaming News Weekend 51

It’s that time again, time for the weekend gaming news! This weekend, we’ve got news about: new screenshots for Animal Crossing New Horizons, Deemo II is in the making, you can soon play Stardew Valley in a Tesla, American players can check their gaming year of 2019, Re: Legend has had a huge overhaul, My Time at Portia 40% off, a cinematic opening movie for Summer in Mara and Lake by Dutch developer Gamious is coming to consoles.

New screenshots Animal Crossing New Horizons

Only 3 months away now everyone! Time to think of the name for your new town and most importantly, how you are going to make free time to play on the 20th of March! Nintendo has shared some new screenshots for Animal Crossing New Horizons. And of course, people have been picking them apart for more info on the game, as Nintendo has been very tight lipped. Anyways, here’s a clip showing and analysing them all.

Deemo II in development

Rayark revealed at RayarkCon that Deemo II is in development. They showed a teaser trailer, showing off an animated sequence near the end. Check it out here.

Play Stardew Valley in a Tesla

If there ever was an indie title that came out of nowhere and took the world by storm, it’s gotta be Stardew Valley. I remember when it first released that people on Reddit were so exited by it, they even funded buying the game for people who couldn’t afford it.

Now, Stardew Valley is available on every kind of platform, but there was still one to be added.  The game is going to be added to the Tesla games library. This means when someone is in a Tesla and at a full stop, perhaps while charging their car, they will be able to play the game on the vehicle’s screen. You just have to pop in a USB controller.

Nintendo’s Year in Review

Serena already mentioned it in her article of her Top Choices for 2019,  but I thought to highlight it here too. Nintendo is offering people in North America a chance to look back at 2019 with a Nintendo Switch year in review website. If people visit while logged in with their Nintendo Network ID, it will pull data from the year to let you know exactly what you were playing and keep track of your stats.

Sadly, it’s only for the American Nintendo Accounts. I wish Nintendo Europe offered it too!

Re: Legend overhaul

A Kickstarter game we have been following for quite some time is simulation RPG Re: Legend. Though a Switch version is expected, for now the game is only available in Early Access on Steam. It has had some issues, so the developers have now pushed the reset button. Update 16.0 brings much needed bug fixes and a large overhaul of the multiplayer feature.

Though the new updates and extra content are good news, The bad news for early players is that everyone’s save files have been wiped. Everyone has to start again from scratch. Not so bad then that us Switch players get the ultimate version ( I hope), even though it’s a long wait!

Lake by Dutch developer Gamious is coming to consoles

Publisher Whitethorn Digital announced their lineup for 2020, and one of the game instantly caught my attention. Lake is developed by Gamious, based in The Hague in the Netherlands, which may account for my interest. But more likely, it’s because of the fact of the beautiful visuals and the story based gaming. You know how important stories in games are to me! Anyway, check out the description and the trailer below.

“It’s 1986, Meredith Weiss takes a break from her career in the big city to deceiver mail in her hometown. How will she experience three weeks in beautiful Providence Oaks, with its iconic lake and quirky community? And what will she do next? It’s up to you!”

My Time at Portia on offer

There are tons of sales going on in the Nintendo eShop at the moment, so if you are looking for a new game, I’d urge you to check it out. One caught my attention: My Time at Portia is now 40% off in the European and UK Nintendo eShop until January 2nd. As it’s one of my Two Thumbs Up simulation games I can only tell you to check it out! (Here’s my review)

Summer in Mara cinematic opening movie

Kickstarter Summer in Mara is getting close, at least we have an “early 2020” release date. This adventure about farming and crafting, with exploration elements, takes place on an island in a tropical ocean. Chibig, the developer, has crafted a huge story about growing up and facing your fears to make Mara a better place.

Check out the trailer below. Good times coming, Simulation Fans!

That’s it for this week, have a good gaming weekend!

We love to hear from you!
