Gaming News Weekend 7

It’s that time again, time for the weekend gaming news! With news about: Valentine’s cards for Animal Crossing, multiplayer Totally Reliable Delivery Service coming to Switch, upcoming RPG Haven, Dragon Quest: Our Story on Netflix, the bachelors and bachelorettes of Rune Factory 4 and special artwork for Atelier Ryza.

Valentine’s cards Animal Crossing

I know, a day late. But it’s always a good time to say I love you to your special someone! So check out the Animal Crossing Valentine’s Cards on the English Nintendo website! To download them, check here.

Can you run a delivery service?

Totally Reliable Delivery Service is a physics ragdoll game where you and up to three friends haphazardly delivery packages in an interactive sandbox world. It will be released on April 1 on all platforms, so on the Switch as well.

The world of Totally Reliable Delivery Service consists of 7 islands that all have their own deliveries, points of interest, and personality. With the world being so large, you will have tons of vehicles that will satisfy your need for speed…

The game also consists of many unique deliveries and tasks that will prove to be an interesting challenge with physics and obstacles that will not work in your favor. Bringing your friends to help may or may not be to your advantage… Are they Totally Reliable?

Upcoming RPG Haven about love and freedom

In Haven you share the journey of two lovers escaped to a lost planet in a desperate attempt to stay together. You play as Yu and Kay, gliding over the grasslands of a shattered planet, unravelling its mysteries looking for a way to settle down.

Check out the opening movie. It shows what the team is trying to bring to life with the game: a couple of characters who love each other, and with whom they hope you are going to fall in love in turn. An established relationship, that’s still evolving, in movement, gliding and twirling at a fast pace, tied by flow and rust, across different planets.

The game sounds interesting. It’s a romantic space adventure, the saga of two lovers trying to stay together against all odds. The devs tell us it’s a pick up and play kinda game, a pause in a busy day. You can play as a couple, with a  second player joining in or drop out anytime in co-op to share the adventure. The rating might be a problem for reviewing it on the site though!

Dragon Quest: Our Story is on Netflix

Dragon Quest: Your Story, the beautifully animated movie that was released in Japan in 2019 has been released on Netflix! The story is about Luca, who follows in his father’s footsteps to rescue his other from evil Ladja. Finding the heavenly hero who wields the Zenithian sword is his only hope.

Movies based on games aren’t always great (but give me Jake Gyllenhaal in the Prince of Persia any day!) but Evaristo will check this one out and review it here on the site.

Meet the bachelors and bachelorettes

Not long now before the remake of Rune Factory 4 is available on Switch in the special edition. As always, romance is an important part, so here are two new trailers. First one:  introducing the bachelorettes

You can date Amber, Clorica, Dolce, Forte, Margaret, and Xiao Pai.

And when you want to date the bachelors, then there’s Arthur, Doug, Dylas, Kiel, and Vishnal to fall in love with.

Atelier Ryza reaches 350.000 copies sold

Currently, I’m in an Atelier frenzy, reviewing the entire Dusk trilogy. So first Atelier Ayesha, just finished Atelier Escha & Logy and now I’m getting started with Atelier Shallie. Still, I’d love to get back to Atelier Ryza too, I haven’t finished playing that one yet! So this news caught my attention:

Atelier Sophie is still the best selling game in the Atelier series with 370.000 copies sold, but Atelier Ryza is quickly catching up: Koei Tecmo and Gust made the official announcement that 350.000 copies sold has been reached, and celebrated is with a commemorative piece of artwork. Here it is!
