Don’t worry too much, it’s just me, another writer ready to share her gaming interests on LadiesGamers.com … OR IS IT?
No but really, hi all! I’m Jenna and I want to talk to you about games! I’m 22 years old, fresh out of college and living my best life at the moment in the beautiful Japan! Studying Japanese language and culture for eight years (along with earning a bachelors degree in English) has landed me my dream job!
When I’m not teaching English to young students I’m often playing video games. If you were to ask me my favorite game, I would get all giddy telling you a detailed analysis of everything Animal Crossing. My passion for games doesn’t end there however, since I play a large variety of games. Most often you can find me grinding in a massive RPG like Assassins Creed or Skyrim if I’m not relaxing with a life simulator like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
When I’m not playing video games, I really enjoy travel. On my personal blog, Aringoaday, I talk about my experience living in rural Japan (basically I’m living in a Studio Ghibli movie/anime; think Princess Mononoke scenery or the small town in Your Name) and share some insights on Japanese culture and places that are a must-see! But of course, it’s not hard to find a wide variety of games in many areas, especially in the city. I’ve recently come across some very fun Japanese exclusive games for the 3DS and Switch that I’d love to recommend! (And no, for most of them you don’t have to know Japanese!)
Anyway, I’m excited to discuss with fellow gamers about our shared passion! I hope to find you in the comment section soon!
Welcome Jenna! 😀 It’s great to have you here 🙂
I loved Your Name and Princess Mononoke 😀 – Sounds like you live in a brilliant place! – Looks great from what you have shared on your blog (I love peaceful countrysides and villages).
I like the combination of the English phrase “An apple a day” with the Japanese word for apple – I may start saying “A ringo a day” instead now 😛
Thank you for the warm welcome! 🙂
