Come on in my friend, and get yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea! Time to look back and wrap up of everything that happened on the site this past week, running from April 29th until May 5th 2019.

The weekly news highlights what happened on LadiesGamers.com this past week. If you are pressed for time during the week (aren’t we all, these days? 🙄you will find everything you need to know in this weekly wrap up!

This past week’s reviews:

Five reviews were published this week, all for the Nintendo Switch.

Review Block-A-Pix Deluxe (Switch)

If you like games like Picross, Block-a-Pix DeLuxe is one you might want to check out. Brandi takes a look to see if it can keep her puzzling.

Review Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists (Switch)

Love myself a good Atelier game, so let’s look at the latest: Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists. Adjust your expectations and find a great experience.

Review Planetarian (Nintendo Switch)

Evriun reviews planetarian (Switch). A great little sci-fi visual novel, about a Junker and a robot girl named Yumemi that serves as a planetarium guide.

Review Black Paradox (Nintendo Switch)

Black Paradox is no standard space shooter. Ben played it and found turned out to be an energetic and addictive experience.

Review Inventioneers (Switch)

Inventioneers is a fun game on mobile and the Switch, which is fun to play in both single and co-op modes. Filimundus has done a great job!

YvoCaro Plays

In the series YvoCaro Plays (find my unedited gaming thoughts here) I tend to ramble on about my gaming adventures. This week I vent my frustration at the way I tend to avoid hands on boss battles. In My Time at Portia I have to defeat the Rat King to progress. The nasty rodent just has to whack me once with his big rotary blade and it’s fight over! Here’s my rant: YvoCaro Plays: Scared of the Rat King

Got him in the end though!

Interesting Kickstarter: Kofi Quest

We are always on the lookout for interesting new games, and that includes Kickstarter campaigns. This time on of our readers brought this project to our attention (thanks, Ronja!). Most of the time we feature cute and colourful games, but this time we feature Kofi Quest. This game combines action RPG and RTS (real time strategy) manned by Kofi. Our hero. Or not?

Check it out: Kickstarter Kofi Quest: a not so serious game

In other news:

I’m going to let you go with some last snippets of news for interesting games coming up. Have a very happy gaming week!

Ready for a furry friend? Cats and Dogs on Switch

Remember the joy of your first virtual dog on your DS? I do remember the time my daughter got her first Nintendo DS Phat and Nintendogs vividly. Now, a new title is on its way. Little Friends: Cats & Dogs is the spiritual successor on the Switch. Time to get cuddling again, as it will be in stores on May 28.

Automachef: puzzles, fast food and robots

Team17 (known from publishing Overcooked and My Time at Portia) is going to publish Automachef. A puzzler that will exercise your grey cells: Program your own kitchen production line to overcome complicated puzzles, make the right recipes and meal combos and satisfy the Fast Food tycoon. Who is a robot but doesn’t know it!

A Fold Apart made it: Switch release is close

Although not succeeding on Fig to get funding, cute and colorful puzzler A Fold Apart persevered. And now will come to Switch in June. A Fold Apart is a 3D puzzle game about the emotional struggle of a long distance relationship set in a world of folding paper. Should be good fun!

We love to hear from you!
