Cyber-Shadow Review (Steam) – We Like It a Lot

Action Adventure (US $19.99 | UK £17.99 | EU €19,99)

James: Cyber-Shadow feels a bit like that guy/gal at a party you didn’t get a chance to talk to because they blended in too well with all the other retro looking games, I mean party guests. But if you take the time to talk to them, get to know them. There really is an entertaining game here.

Cyber-Shadow’s stand out features are easily; it’s fantastic soundtrack, its cyber ninja aesthetic and its tough but ultimately enjoyable gameplay. The game is tough but not to the extent that I wanted to fling my controller into the PC.

If you have room in your life for another retro inspired classic Cyber-Shadow won’t disappoint.

The Flower Collectors Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It a Lot

Adventure (US $19.99 |EU $19,99 |  UK £17.99)

Elena: Despite the grim context, the game is suitable for older kids (perhaps aged 10 and above?) and doesn’t go into that brutality much. Playing Flower Collectors might generate interest in learning about Spanish history or about political systems. While the game doesn’t go into the history and politics much, it creates emotional interest in the characters affected by that setting.

Would I recommend The Flower Collectors? Yes, if you’re looking for something very story-focused and don’t mind waiting for things to happen. Even if you mind waiting, it might be a good exercise in quiet observation and putting yourself in the shoes of a man like Jorge.

Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing Review (Steam) – We Like It a Lot

Simulation (EU €4,99 | US $5.99 | UK £4.79)

Paula: From the art style to the overall story, Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing is a short wholesome little rom-com. The game does everything I expected it to and does it well. I  haven’t played the first game so it was a delight to be introduced to the Half Past Fate experience through this game.

If you have played the first game I definitely recommend you should download and enjoy this mini-episode too!

Kowloon High-School Chronicle Review (Switch) – We Like It a Lot

Visual novel/ JRPG (US $29.99)

Heather: Kowloon High-School Chronicle is a really fun old-school dungeon crawler that fans of niche JRPGs will enjoy. I personally had a lot of fun with it and I really love how the game leans into the episodic anime presentation and vibe.

I can definitely say that this game is a cult-classic in my opinion!

Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption Review (Switch) – We Like It

Puzzle Adventure (US $19.99 |EU €19,99 | UK £17.99)

Paula: Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption is an old school classic with a Harry Potter-like twist with it based in a University. I found the game very slow to get into at the start. But after the first three to five hours it started to pick up, and I got the hang of managing the school day better. It’s an entertaining game, with plenty of humour and a story that plays out gradually as it progresses.

Hero-U offers plenty of replayability as well, to explore different electives in the classroom and conversational trails, or even romantic options. If you are a fan of the old school, classic, RPG/ point and click this one is true to its form.

My Universe-Pet Clinic Cats & Dogs Review (Switch) – We Like It

Simulation (US $29.99 |EU $39,99 |  UK £35.99)

Paula: The My Universe series is designed specifically for kids excited to jump into their dreamed adult life. My Universe PET CLINIC CATS & DOGS holds true to the rest of the My Universe games and is a great addition to the series.

I can imagine younger gamers would love to be a proud owner of a Pet Clinic, happily treating poorly cats and dogs.
