Littlewood Review (Nintendo Switch) – Two Thumbs Up

Adventure Simulation (US $14.99 | EU TBC | UK TBC)

Paula: Littlewood is a chilled out game, with positive vibes and a heart-warming story. The streamlined gameplay makes the game a joy to play, without the hassle of having to switch tools.

Sean Young should be very proud of his little game and rightly so. For fans of this genre, Littlewood is a place you must visit. You will be warmly welcomed and live a life of peace and calm.

Blue Fire Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It

Adventure 3D Platformer (US $19.99 | UK £17.99 | EU €19,99)

James: Blue Fire was a game I really wanted to like more than I did. I loved the art style and the doom and gloomy feel the game was going for, the main character is also instantly likeable. For the most part, I did enjoy the gameplay but the niggles I had with pathfinding and frustrating platformer sections did damper my experience. Though it didn’t fully light my fire I can see this being something special to other gamers.

If you like your 3D adventures this is a game well worth looking into. Just be cautious if you’re not a platforming fan.

PAKO Caravan Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It

Arcade (US $7.99 | EU €6,99 | UK £6.29)

Paula: PAKO Caravan is an arcade title that is perfect for a quick pick up and play session. A laid back game that is enjoyable and recommended for all ages. The game is free to download on mobile, with a £3.99 price to remove the advertisement and a £1.99 pice to unlock all the levels. The choice is yours whether you feel the £6.29 price point on the Nintendo Switch for a free mobile game is worth it!

Wind Peaks Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It

Puzzle Adventure (US $14.99 | EU €11,99 | UK £9.99)

Paula: I like Wind Peaks, it’s an acceptable hidden object game. It is however limited with its story and interactive elements in the game are mainly the items you are tasked with finding. I’ve played a few games in this genre and this one is fine for what it is.

It does feel more like a prologue than a fully-fledged story, it is short on playtime and also has an abrupt ending! I feel it might be a little overpriced on the Nintendo Switch, £9.99 is somewhat high for roughly an hours worth of play. So with that in mind, my score is…

Taxi Chaos Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It

Racing Arcade (US $34.95 | UK £31.49 | EU €34,95)

James: If you somehow never got to play Crazy Taxi or you no longer have access to play it, then Taxi Chaos is a decent pick and play an arcade game to enjoy in small gaming bursts. It’s a valiant effort but it kinda lacks the magic of the game it’s inspired from. Lacking memorable characters, pumping music and that atmosphere I used to feel in the arcade feels absent here.

Taxi Chaos also doesn’t try anything new with the formula. For myself I found myself wanting to dig out Crazy Taxi and play that instead. But I guess when I’m too lazy to do that I’ll probably still give Taxi Chaos a drive-through.

Castle Kong Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It

Arcade Platformer (US $6.99 | UK £5.99 | EU €6,99)

James: Castle Kong is a decent arcade game for those looking to scratch that nostalgic itch. It unapologetically mimics the arcade design, warts an all, which will appeal to purists but possibly put off gamers looking for some modern improvements to the formula. But by being so similar to the game it takes inspiration from, Castle Kong doesn’t feel like it has its own identity. This makes me wonder if those looking for a nostalgia kick will just end up playing Donkey Kong instead (also available on eShop).

What I would like to see is the developers take this concept and produce their own original arcade-style game. Until that happens though we have Castle Kong to enjoy, and it’s pretty good.

Clocker Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Like It

Adventure puzzle (US $3.99 | EU €3,99 | UK £3.59)

Paula: Clocker is an interesting game, though not without its faults but it does have its good points too. The artwork is beautiful as is the soundtrack.

If you enjoy a time-bending puzzle game, Clocker could be your thing! Especially since it has such a reasonable price point!

PUSS! Review (Nintendo Switch) – We’re Not Sure

Puzzle Arcade (US $11.99 | UK £10.79 | EU €11,99)

James: There’s a place in London called the TATE Modern which is a modern art museum. I’ve visited this place a few times in my youth and on one occasion I saw an exhibit where an artist painted junk from a garage and arranged it on the floor in an attempt to look arty.

What I’m trying to get at here is some folk are going to look at this exhibit and appreciate it and others are not. I fall into the latter when it comes to PUSS! But that’s not to say it won’t find an audience. If you’re looking for a hard game with bizarre art design have at it. You have been warned.

How To Take Off Your Mask Remastered Review (Switch) – We Don’t Like It

Adventure Visual Novel (US $14.99 | UK £14.99 | EU €14,99 )

CJ: This title has a cute design and hits on some common tropes (I couldn’t get into them because of spoilers) that I did like. The idea of a race of people who can turn into a kind of cat isn’t new but is often entertaining.

However, I ultimately found the issues mentioned above too annoying and disturbing to really enjoy this game. Furthermore, the price point is high for the length of the game (around 3 hours to complete both routes). For these reasons, I must give this one a thumbs down.

AnShi Review (Nintendo Switch) – We Don’t Like It

Adventure RPG (US $ 17.99 | EU €15,00 |  UK £13.49)

Ash: AnShi felt like a disjointed, and frequently confusing, a story that was being told TO me, rather than WITH me. Even the idea of exploring the vast expanse is derailed by way too many invisible walls forcing you onto a straight path.

There are some glimpses of the atmospheric game it was aspiring to be, and there were some nice feeling moments when I was riding my hoverboard over smooth desert terrain into a sunset. The music is divine, but unfortunately, it is simply not enough to save the rest of the game. The nugget of something good is there, but I feel that it needs a lot more work to become what it is striving to be.

Spring Path Ideas in AC New Horizons

Yvonne: Remember how we couldn’t wait for the snow to fall in Animal Crossing New Horizons? Well, by now we have grown tired of trying to make yet another snowman and all the whiteness. Great to see the spring grass again, even though it’s still a bit brownish.

Time to make another entry in our series of path ideas to make your island reflect the season. Here are our tips for making Spring paths.
