Gameplay of Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenwood

Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenrock is a shorter free version of the other games in the series were we have a scene, and we must look for cats. The game is set within a charming nature scene, with some cabins and tents and people and forest animals mulling about. Some of the cats, the pink ones, are found within the scene; some are hidden better, within bins and holes or behind curtains. To find them, we have to interact with everything in the scene.

On the top of the screen, we have a countdown with how many cats of this type we’ve found so far and how many remain.

At the beginning.

Clicking on all the elements, besides helping us find kittens, also unlocks some of the more obscure achievements in the game. There is no hint button, but overall, I found the game easier than previous titles in the series.

Controls are easy- everything is done by clicking the left mouse button. Still, there is a handy instruction on how to play. Besides that, if you hover above a button, there is an explanation popping up.

Green Mountains

Visually Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenrock looks cozy and gorgeous at the same time. The picture is pretty and vibrant with life. The art style is clear and concise.

Compared to other Hidden Cats games, the scene is not black and white but rather gradient green. The cats, once found, are pink and purple, a nice contrast to the overall scene. There is a counter for each type of cat on the top side of the screen. The soundtrack is less cheerful than previous games but still pleasant to listen to and fits well with the overall gaming experience.

Like in the previous game, one of the main drawing points in Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenrock is the humour. All the characters in the scene have a fun dialogue, popping up in a bubble once you click on them. Then, you must check out the posters as well!

Some Side Notes

Purrfectly Hidden Cats: Kittenrock has basic audio on and off toggles. The game has Steam achievements but no trading cards as of yet.

Conclusion

Purrfectly Hidden Cats: Kittenrock is another good, cozy, hidden object game that lets you escape for a few moments. With its humour and upbeat atmosphere, it is great fun and will only leave you wanting more.

Final Verdict: Two Thumbs Up: Two thumbs up
