When I checked for a possible release date when I made my article Casual games to look forward to last week there was no news yet. And now, today on March 7 2018, Sims Mobile is released worldwide on Android and iOS. What a surprise!
The game soft launched in Brazil more then 9 months ago, so I’m hoping we get a well balanced bug free game by now. I just downloaded the game myself on an American iOS account as it wasn’t in the Dutch one yet. I guess EA games is really rolling it out as I write this.
According to EA games, this is an all new version where you can customize avatars and guide them through daily life in a vast virtual word. They day it’s the most robust, full featured and all around stylish take on the popular life simulator.
The Sims Mobile is a title that focuses on the stories that your Sims tell through the day-to-day activities that they partake in. When they perform tasks in their work, they grow as virtual beings, get new abilities and new objects.
They’ve added a fun social component where you can invite friends’ avatars over or visit their digital worlds. You can meet up with others at big events, like Speed-Dating in the Park.
I guess it will all depend on how the freemium system works. Good games can get annoying pretty quick when they push too hard to put your real money in. For now though, my daughter who is a Sims fan, was pretty exited to get started! And of course, her mom is too.
