I like being organized, for things to be structured and have a certain symmetry. I’m not one however to think far ahead about the structure I want to achieve, I’ve always worked along the lines of “making it up as I go along”. Practice makes perfect, and all that. When I started blogging I had no real vision about what purpose it served, or what goals I wanted to achieve. This weekend it was time however to take a good look at the website, and to strive for more structure and symmetry.
You may have noticed the influx of reviews for older DS and Wii games. I made them years ago, and I decided it was time to add them here. What you don’t see at first glance though is that the structure of the menu has changed.
I’ve grouped my blogs to:
- “About games”: here you will find all blogs I’ve written about gaming, bundled in the console or handheld the game was on.
- “Game Reviews”: all game reviews that I’ve made, again bundled (DS, 3DS, Vita, App, Wii, WiiU)
- Added a search box in the homepage: with some 150 blogs you might have some difficulty finding things.
- Blog collections: you may have noticed some recurring themes in my writing, the blog collections are bundles of blogs about a certain topic.
Up till now I have a collection for “Blogs that featured Star Trek”, “Blogs with the Hobbit/LOTR” and a budding collection of “Game of the month in 2015”. I’m certain though that more collections will be added! - In the menu you can find a link to “Thoughts in gaming”. At times I get to rambling about thought swirling around in my mind about game related things, these are collected here.
- And at time I can’t resist writing about “Other Things”, totally unrelated to gaming but in my opinion, worthy of sharing with you.
I hope it will make it easier for you to find interesting stuff 😄
