Stardew Valley, the game that took the gaming world by storm since it first appeared on Steam to play on a PC, is one step closer to release on the Switch. Nintendo has approved the application for the game to be released in future in the eShop.
Good news! I’ve been following the game since the beginning of 2016 because there was such an overwhelming positivity of the people who picked the game up. The game is heavily inspired by Harvest Moon, which is called Story of Seasons. Eric Barone, the designer, added improvement to things he felt weren’t quite as good as they could be in the Harvest Moon games.
The game was one of the best-selling titles on Steam in the first months after release, and since then, it came to various consoles too. It was released in December 2016 on the XBox and PS4, and now finally it’s close to release on a Nintendo device.
As I don’t own any of the other consoles, this will be my very first encounter with the game. And I’m looking forward to it so much! Not just for the sim gameplay, but this will be the first time that the game can be played on Handheld. If you have an all consuming simulation game, that is a must, to be able to play it everywhere you go.
So, no release date yet, but it’s close, I can feel it. And I’ll keep you posted!
