Successor to Story of Seasons announced by Marvelous

Today I saw a picture of pages from the leading gaming magazine in Japan, announcing that a successor is in the works for Story of Seasons. This new game, set to be released by Marvelous in Q3-2016 in Japan, is being developped to celebrate 20 years of Bokujo Monogatari. We have known the game under the name of Harvest Moon before, intricate story there. Let’s just say that Marvelous decided to publish the games in the West through XSeed instead of through Natsume now, but Natsume owns the name. So the last game in the series was named Story of Seasons here.

Anyway, it doesn’t matter much to me what the name is, but I do know I had a blast with Story of Seasons, for me it was the best in the long line of games. So I’ll bet that this new game will be great too, how else would they celebrate 20 years of Harvest Moon? The new title translates as Harvest Moon: Precious Friends From Three Villages. We might have some long time to wait for this game, but at least we know it’s in the making. I’ll keep you updated!

  1. Does it mention what platform it’s on? Obviously on the 3DS, but I’m hoping for a Vita port since the series also has a history with playstation and marvelous is making tons of beat’em ups for the Vita. It’d be nice to have such a relaxing experience available on my Vita too.

  2. I’ve been wanting to try out one of the recent Harvest Moon games. The last time I played it was on the Game Boy Advanced lol I think you had to pick veggies one by one. It looks so much nicer now.

We love to hear from you!
