Welcome, we’re into July already which can only mean one thing at LadiesGamers: it’s time to take a look at the upcoming new release games on our favourite handheld the Nintendo Switch for July 2021.
Mind you, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the big gaming sites don’t mention. These are the games that we are taking notice of, and if given half a chance, you can expect reviews for many of them! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game mentioned, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
Path: Through the Forest – July 1st
Path: Through the Forest is an exquisite and beautiful horizontal dissolving the riddle game life has a long way to go, how much courage does it need to accumulate to make a choice for leading to the future? Walking from dawn to night, from passing through the valley to looking up to the starry sky, “There are two roads in a forest, and I chose the one with fewer people’s traces, which has determined the paths of my life.”
Divided into five chapters, which respectively include dawn, dusk, night, starry sky and the valley. Each chapter corresponds to the runes in different functions-forest, lights, sleepness, gravity and scales.
Players need to use runes with different functions to collect the crystals that represent courage and create a way to lead to the future. Moreover, players who want to show their amazing creativity can design the level belonging to themselves, upload it to the creative space and embarrass others or make them laugh!
Super Destronaut DX-2 – July 2nd
Super Destronaut DX 2 is a retro space shooter with multiple modes. Test your abilities with the challenges or try to beat your high score in the arcade modes.
Play against the clock, the more classical 3 lives, or even with limited bullets to see how many aliens you can destroy. Dodge and shoot enemies to victory! This time they may not only come from above. Check out James’s review of Super Destronaut DX 2.
Best Day Ever – July 2nd
Best Day Ever is a narrative game in which you will play 4 characters. Your goal? Manage their daily life and help them overcome their difficulties to create their best day ever.
In Waters City, the picture is not all bright. Emma, Jordan, Paul and Jenny won’t say otherwise: they face many injustices on a daily basis and need your help to face these trials. Get to know them and achieve their goals by making good decisions with them.
Each story has multiple endings. It is your decisions that will change the events experienced by the characters and trace their path to their best day ever. Mythic Ocean – July 2nd

Hope’s Farm – July 3rd

Heart of the Woods – July 8th

A strange young woman named Morgan has promised them undeniable proof of real paranormal phenomena, and what she has to offer eclipses anything they’d ever seen before.
However, out of all the strange occurrences the three of them bear witness to, one, in particular, captivates Maddie in a way she’s never been before: the ghost of a young woman. This woman is Abigail, the victim of a centuries-old injustice now bound eternally to the forest surrounding Eysenfeld. Drawn to Maddie in a way she can’t explain, Abigail reveals herself to another person for the first time in more than 200 years. Infinite Golf 2 – July 8th
Are you ready for a new golf challenge? Infinite Golf is back! You can choose from 4 different game modes in 4 different environments. In Classic Mode you don’t have to worry about losing or winning. Just enjoy the calm atmosphere!
Time-Attack mode you have 30 seconds and 5 additional seconds for every completed level. Arcade Mode you have 3 tries for each level. If you run out of tries your game is over. In Multiplayer mode you can compete against up to 3 other players in 81 different game mode combinations! With procedurally generated levels there is always one more level!
My Maitê – July 8th
Maitê is a very intelligent girl, but she lives over the moon. This is why her dad has to go there and bring her back to Earth in this 50 stages long incredible adventure.
Jump over clouds, balloons, trampolines and into special portals in order to get to the ending of this pixel art made beautiful game. Read James’s review of My Maitê here.
ARIA CHRONICLE – July 8th
Princess Aria and her party set out on a pilgrimage to carry out the Rite of Succession. En route, she learns of the disappearance of a village lord, and the involvement of an organization known as the Cult.
In her struggles with this Cult, Aria discovers the shocking truth behind the Kingdom’s history, which drives her to make a certain bold decision. ARIA CHRONICLE is a rogue-like, role-playing game featuring dungeon exploration, strategic battles, and unique heroes with complex growth factors.
Enjoy strategic, turn-based battles which are sure to keep you on your toes. An important aspect of this game is the management of each hero’s mentality, which will greatly affect their performance in battle. Be sure to keep alert to the state of your heroes, not only in battle but also in the randomized dungeons, so that you can fully utilize the capabilities of your entire party.
Connect Bricks – July 9th
Connect Bricks with matching colours and cover the entire board with bricks to solve each puzzle. But watch out, connections will break if they cross or overlap!
Each puzzle has a grid of squares with coloured bricks occupying some of the squares. The objective is to connect bricks of the same colour by drawing connections between them such that the entire grid is occupied by bricks. However, connections may not intersect. The difficulty is determined by the size of the grid, ranging from 5×5 to 14×14 squares. I reviewed Connect Bricks and you can read the review here.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin – July 9th

Macrotis: A Mother’s Journey – July 15th
Macrotis is the story of a mother’s relentless search for her missing children, an emotional tale told through lush 2.5D platforming filled with thought-provoking puzzles. Climb, jump and gnaw your way through beautiful yet dangerous environments.

Mythic Ocean looks cool! I think Monster Hunter Stories 2 is about to take over my life, though. The demo was SO GOOD. Like it’s the game Pokemon should be by now. I am so excited for the real version to unlock in a few days, so I can go back to riding my pig, and hatch my rathalos, and see what pseudo-sapphic adventure awaits with that new girl who showed up at the end of the demo and immediately started acting like we’d been dating for three months.
Wait, there’s a sapphic element to Monster Hunter Stories 2?! I wonder if it’s too late to run to Gamestop for a pre-order. I am always up for supporting LGBTQ content, especially in major series!
