Welcome, we’re into the new month already, which can only mean one thing at LadiesGamers. It’s time to look at the upcoming new release games on our favourite handheld, the Nintendo Switch, for July 2022.
Not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games, and if given half a chance, you can expect reviews for many of them! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei – July 1st
Torn between warring factions and a desire for a peaceful life, can Shanao forge her path and find someone worthy of her journey in this visual novel?
Fifteen years after the Heiji Rebellion, the Heike clan has reached the height of its power, while the Genji clan remains devastated by defeat. Hidden deep within the mountains of Kurama lives Shanao, the youngest surviving male heir to the Genji name. However, Shanao harbours a deep secret known by very few. Beasties – July 1st
The Beasties live in complete harmony with humans. But this harmony gets cracked after the disappearance of a Beastiemaster. So the guild of Beastiemasters sends you to an isolated village to find out what happened to the master.
Use your time to collect important resources and prepare for the next adventure phase, challenge beastie trainers or search for new beasties in the tall grass. Beasties is a strategical match-3 of brawling monsters with a unique design and large area for free-form exploration.

Krut: The Mythic Wings – July 12th
Krut: The Mythic Wings is a fast-paced hack and slash, a side-scrolling platformer based on a 2018 Thai CG animated feature-length film “Krut: The Himmaphan Warriors”, Southeast Asian mythology about the adventure of a Garuda warrior on the enchanted Island, Himmaphan.
The Ogre’s ruthless army invaded the Garuda race’s land in a world full of mystical creatures and magic. The army was defeated, and the capital city was eventually fallen. Upon the destruction and despair, a badly wounded warrior found himself on a mysterious enchanted island called Himmaphan. He met a mysterious figure who entrusted him with a powerful artefact, the Mythic Wings. A legend told that a legendary hero used the wings during the Great War hundreds of years ago and brought peace to the land. Now, the new adventure has begun.

You are shipwrecked on a strange Island: a terrible storm ravages the seas around you, casting your mighty vessel into the dangerous rocks of a nearby island. As you awake to find your ship in pieces, shipwrecked on a strange island filled with frogs?
A spaghetti network of trades will take you all over this strange island as you seek out materials to fix your boat. You will meet a cast of friendly characters, solve head-scratching puzzles, find hidden treasures, and much more as you explore the world of Time on Frog Island.

SUPER UFO FIGHTER – July 14th
The space sport SUPER UFO FIGHTER is all the rage in the galaxy and UFO pilots, known as Shwoopers, are battling it out today! Shuforians compete in intense 1v1 battles for supremacy. Deposit the target item into your goal to score. The key to victory is to control the stage items! Use your shwoop beam to collect the target before your rival and bring it home. Play alone or together with friends online!

Growbot – July 14th
Growbot is a 2D point&click adventure about a robot saving her home from a dark crystalline force. Set upon a beautiful biopunk space station bursting with fantastic plants and aliens, you play as Nara, a growbot in training to become a captain. When rapidly growing crystals attack your station home, it’s down to you to save it.
The game is inspired by classic adventure games like Loom and modern adventure games like Machinarium and aims to appeal to both seasoned and new gamers.

Wayward Strand – July 21st
It’s the summer of 1978, and Casey Beaumaris is trying to make the most of her holidays. Then her mum asks her to spend a long weekend helping out at the airborne hospital where she works. Casey prefers the company of books to people, but she agrees, secretly planning to write an article about her visit to the school newspaper.
With her trusty notebook at the ready, Casey arrives on board the airship. The staff are overworked as they prepare for the visit of an important official. While the patients react to grief or deal with active trauma.
In Wayward Strand’s world, time passes for everyone, characters continue their lives without waiting for you to interact with them. In Wayward Strand’s unique narrative structure, the stories of over a dozen characters constantly unfold around you in real-time as you, as Casey, roam freely throughout each day. Choose which story to be a part of by following people, having conversations, and exploring the hospital.
Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony – July 28th
Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony has been loved by many gamers since its initial release. Highly praised for its quality gameplay and soundtrack and Banpai Akira’s sharp and gothic reinterpretation of Touhou characters.
This title is the enhanced version of the original game that supports HD remastered graphics and various bonus features. In hopes that more gamers would enjoy Reimu’s adventure, the game now supports six languages, including English. Fans of the original game and the Touhou Project can’t miss the full Japanese voice acting, which is the exclusive feature of the enhanced version.

Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions – July 28th

Or get strategic with abilities that inflict status effects or knock enemies aside to help control the battlefield.
