Welcome, we’re into June already which can only mean one thing at LadiesGamers: it’s time to take a look at the upcoming new release games on our favourite handheld the Nintendo Switch for June 2021.
Mind you, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the big gaming sites don’t mention. These are the games that we are taking notice of, and if given half a chance, you can expect reviews for many of them! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game mentioned, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
Mystic Pillars: A Story-Based Puzzle Game – June 3rd
Mystic Pillars is a unique blend of intriguing puzzles and an immersive storyline set in Ancient India, providing you with an engaging gameplay experience. The game is a reimagination of the Indian traditional board game Ali Guli Mane or the Internationally known variant Mancala. Solve the 100 simple, handcrafted and unique math-based spatial puzzles.
Play as a mysterious traveller whose journey across the world lands you in the kingdom of Zampi. Resolve the drought plaguing the once-prosperous kingdom of Zampi by solving puzzles and destroying the magical pillars blocking the water. Highly stylized hand-drawn artwork and animated cutscenes lure you further into the journey as you move from one puzzle to the next. Winds of Change – June 3rd

Sunblaze – June 3rd
Do you think you’ve got what it takes to be an actual superhero? Well, then you need to help Josie to beat the superhero training simulator, and to become the hero our world needs!
In this beautiful, hand-crafted precision platformer, you’ll play as Josie, aka. Sunblaze, with a mission to complete your superhero training. Your dad, a former superhero himself, built the training simulator dreaming of your journey to becoming a superhero. The simulator is full of puzzles, brain-tickling challenges, double jumps, dashes, spikes, drones… And a purrfect sidekick: the cat. You have got a cat. What else do you need? Well, skills. That’s what you need. Do you think you’ve got ’em? Dive into Sunblaze now, and be the hero… called Sunblaze.
The story takes place inside a training simulator, where Josie is being trained to be a superhero by her father. There’s witty dialogue, embarrassing moments and of course the most important part of the family, the cat! James reviewed Sunblaze, read his thoughts here.
Stray Cat Doors2 – June 3rd EU – May 29th USA
The house where I spent time with you, the departure at dusk, the city I wandered into, and the way home in the snow that made me exhale white breath. The sequel to “Stray Cat Doors” is finally here! This is a stage clearing type of escape adventure game where you have to solve puzzles with cute characters. If you haven’t played the previous game, you will still be able to enjoy it.
Now you can control the characters and explore the stages with them. If you find it difficult to solve the riddles, there is a hint function, so even beginners of adventure games can enjoy the game. In addition, a variety of new features have been added, including the ability to change your character’s clothes, redecorate your room and change the background music. A variety of new features have been added. The cats from the previous book also appear. Please be healed by the heartwarming scenes of the cats. Chroma Quaternion – June 3rd
In a world with four kingdoms, each coloured by a season, where roles are granted by the Quadeities, strange happenings suddenly threaten the peace there. A quest begins to find each one’s calling in this intrigued fate and journey through the kingdoms to get to the bottom of the mystery!
Make use of up to three roles per character to enjoy the variety in skills, effects and even costumes. In turn-based battles, you can charge special orbs to use Act Over and launch up to four continuous actions. It’s fun just to watch the charm of pixel arts in this fantasy JRPG! Tiny Lands – June 4th
Relaxing puzzle game with some amazing features, if you are looking for a game that allows you to just sit back and play then Tiny Lands is for you! What makes it different from traditional “Find the differences” games?
Change the way you look at things. You play in a 3D environment, which means you can interact with the scene to adjust the angle and zoom your view. Bring scenes to life with dynamic objects – You will experience a changing aura with fire, rain, thunder, snow, and wind. It all adds a lot of charm to the scenery. Experience many different environments – When you play on a beach scene, you can hear the sounds of waves and listen to how seagulls sing. Relax and have fun at your own tempo. There is no time limit, so you don’t have to worry about how long you spend on a level. Set your favourite lo-fi music and play at your own pace. Here’s my review of Tiny lands.
Arcane Arts Academy – June 4th

Nature Matters – June 4th
Set off on a puzzle-filled journey to save the planet and experience a compelling tale of friendship, sacrifice and redemption. In “Nature Matters” you take on a role of a little plant spirit. Without protection, surrounded by a city that grows up everywhere, one day she realizes that she is completely alone and won’t be able to survive. The only solution is to find her caretaker, a little boy who has been caught up in a whirlwind of human weakness and convince him to take care of her again. During your journey, you will see different lands devastated by destructive human influence.
Solving the puzzles, with the sounds of relaxing music, you will have the opportunity to restore vegetation and colours in them. The unique graphic design will allow you to immerse yourself in a world that will remain in your memory for a long time. Yvonne reviewed Nature Matters.
Skellboy Refractured – June 4th
Life was peaceful in the Cubold Kingdom until the king’s evil court magician got dumped by the princess. With his heartbroken and his rage-fueled, he called upon the evil spirits to resurrect the dead and the kingdom’s long-forgotten monstrosities.
What he doesn’t realize in his fury is that he accidentally summoned an ancient hero as well, Skippy! Travel across the beautifully rendered kingdom of Cubold and take full advantage of your resurrected, skeletal body! Swap out body parts to acquire new abilities during your adventure or pick up a new weapon to vanquish the evil magician’s lackeys. A true action-RPG experience that will test your skill and reward exploration! Local two-player Co-Op Mode for everything the game has to offer! James wrote his review here.
Piczle Cells – June 10th
From the creator of the popular Piczle series of logic puzzles comes this quirky little brain-bender that is guaranteed to befuddle and bemuse!
Slide cells on a grid to combine them. That sounds easy enough, right? Well, not so fast there, pointdexter! Over the 100 puzzles you’ll encounter head-scratchingly tough challenges, walls that both help and hinder, conveyor belts that push your cells into specific directions, switcher cells, and viruses that well, everybody knows all too well these days that those are best avoided. Alchemist Adventure – June 10th

Your journey will take you through four regions filled with quests, puzzles, enemies of all kinds and bits of lore that will help you to unlock the secrets of a seemingly forsaken region.
Griftlands – June 10th
Griftlands is a deck-building rogue-like where you fight and negotiate your way through a broken-down sci-fi world. Every decision is important, be it the jobs you take, the friends you make, or the cards you collect. Death comes quickly, but each play offers new situations and strategies to explore.
Overcome obstacles with the power of your fists or your words. You’ll need to pick your cards and play them right if you’re going to survive. Build two decks simultaneously, balancing the tradeoffs of each. Learn from each attempted run through the various stories of the Griftlands.
