Upcoming Switch Games September

Summer is nearly over and it’s dark much earlier in the evenings. Time for playing more video games! Let’s look at what games we can expect on the Nintendo Switch.

Mind you, not all games to be released are on here. Alternatively you will see games that the big gaming sites don’t mention. These are the games that we are taking notice of, and if given half a chance, you can expect reviews for many of them! It should be noted that unless I have some personal experience with the game mentioned, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.

Piffle – September 2

Developed by Shooty Skies creators Mighty Games, and published by Hipster Whale, Piffle is the cutest arcade puzzler you’ll play this year. Set out on an adventure of un-paw-cedented proportions, discovering hundreds of exciting and colourful worlds filled with adorable characters (and cats!) along the way. It’s the perfect way to take some wholesome time out whenever and wherever you want.

Mask of Mists – September 2

In Mask of Mists, you explore the Infected Territory: a part of the world that’s been damaged and corrupted by the side effects of a magical war. This corruption has weakened the barrier between the human world and the Abyss, a world of chaos and monsters, and creatures have been slipping through. One of the Academy’s Archmages was studying these creatures until he mysteriously vanished. You, a mercenary, have been hired to track him down. Explore the ruins and abandoned homes, piece together the Archmage’s scattered notes, and find him in the labyrinthine chaos of old ruins and new foes.

Secret Files 3 – September 3

It is supposed to be the happiest day of Nina’s life: her wedding to Max. But the groom is arrested in front of her eyes under suspicion of terrorism and disappears without a trace. Thus begins our heroine’s greatest adventure to date. Not only does she venture throughout the world, but she also journeys in her dreams. Here she experiences the history of the world; not only events from the past, but also glimpses of what the future holds. What dark secret is concealed behind the number pi? What is at the heart of this millennia-old conspiracy, where even Archimedes and Leonardo da Vinci appear to have been entangled? Who are the mysterious guardians Nina first encountered in the Tunguska region?

What started many years ago, now comes to an end… Or rather four different ends. The outcome of the story is entirely in your hands!

Niche – a Genetics Survival Game – September 3

The survival game Niche is based on the principle of genetics. Start your tribe of Nichelings with just one male and one female, and see the pups being born. What color will they have? Will they have strong claws or white horns? Or will they be sickly because you put two animals together that weren’t the best match?

This educational approach to the game is packaged with a turn based strategy game and combined with rogue-like elements that will have you thinking: one more turn!

Paradise Killer – September 4

An island outside of reality. A rogue human civilization hoping to resurrect dead alien gods. A murder behind locked doors.

Paradise is an island that regenerates every few millennia. The psychic power that the alien worshipers within release into the universe is meant to feed and eventually resurrect their fallen deities. But this force also attracts undesired interest from demons, who eventually corrupt each island — until a new alternate reality is birthed by the Council.

The system isn’t perfect, but it will be one day — on Perfect 25, the next island-to-be. But on the eve of rebirth, the Council is murdered and Paradise is killed.

In the aftermath, the “investigation freak” Lady Love Dies is summoned from exile to find the culprit. This is the crime to end all crimes. What are the facts? What are the truths? Are they the same?
