Weekly Wrap Up

Come on in my friend, and get yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea! Time to look back and wrap up of everything that happened on the site this past week, running from September 24 until September 30.

The Wrap Up highlights what happened on LadiesGamers.com this week. If you are pressed for time during the week, you will find everything you need to know in this weekly Wrap Up!

This weeks reviews:

These four reviews have been published this week.

Paige also tests the functionality of the Labo Wheel when using it in Mario Kart 8 DeLuxe, and published her thoughts here.

Featured series

Paige published another article in the Animated Adaptations series. This time an entire movie called Dobutsu no Mori, that was never released outside of Japan. It is of course The Animal Crossing Movie and you will find the link to the movie in the article. So sweet and strangely familiar! The subtitles are fan made, and if you are a fan of Animal Crossing, this is a must see.

Evriun once again published an article in The Soundtracks we Love, all about Animal Crossing GameCube. Now there’s one I love: I have a playlist on my iPhone with the hourly music from the game. Very relaxing during your busy day!
If you want to read about the soundtracks Evriun covered in the past weeks, here is the collection.

Game Soundtracks We Love: Animal Crossing (GC)

Jonah published his third edition of Pick ‘n’ Mix Games, where he puts together a Pick ‘n’ Mix list for video games which are both fun and designed to be played in short bursts. Plus, they are little gems on a budget for the various handheld devices: Yoshi (Switch and 3DS), Hacky Zack on Switch, Yeah Bunny and Billiards on mobile and Tearaway on the Vita take the stage. A good mix of handheld gaming on various devices. Here is the third bag of sweets!

Pikodoodle visited the Tokyo Game Show

Pikodoodle had the opportunity to visit the Tokyo Game Show and shares what she saw there in An afternoon at Tokyo Game Show 2018. As the TGS is rather iconic among gamers, I’m pretty sure we would all have loved to join her.

An exhibit by Bandai Namco for their upcoming game “God Eater 3”.

She was able to snare an interview too with Wan Hazmer and Daim Dziauddi, co-founders of Metronomik, an independent game developer that focuses on making original Malaysian video games. She made this interview for Malaysiakini, and you can find it here.

First part: more laid back games to look forward to in 2018

By popular demand, it was time to publish another list of laidback games I’m really looking forward to. Some of these games you may see on any upcoming game list at the big websites, but I also make it a point of mentioning games that don’t appear on said lists. As coincidence would have it, those are the one most of us at LadiesGamers.com look forward to the most!

I decided to make two separate articles, this one is for the four months that 2018 still has in store for us. Next week you will find a list of upcoming games for 2019. So here’s the first one: More laidback games for Switch 2018
