Come on in my friend, and get yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea! Time to look back and wrap up of everything that happened on the site this past week, running from November 12th until November 18th.
The Wrap Up highlights what happened on LadiesGamers.com this past week. If you are pressed for time during the week (aren’t we all, these days? ) you will find everything you need to know in this weekly Wrap Up!
This week’s reviews:
Only two reviews were published this week, a bit of a slow week I guess. There was:
- Storm in a Teacup (Switch)
- Townsmen (Switch)
Jonah was struggling with his review for action RPG Transistor on Switch, and decided to turn it into a gameplay log. The first part is found here.
Featured series/ Editorials
New series: From Steam to Switch?
In this new series of articles I take a look at casual simulation games that are on Steam, but haven’t made the jump to the Switch. Of course, as a fan of Nintendo’s hybrid console I think many of these games would fit perfectly on the Switch. “From Steam to Switch?” lists the games I have on my radar, hoping they will make the switch (pun intended!).
The first one I’ve looked at is Farm Together! Find the article here.
Soundtracks we Love
For this week; Evriun featured The Last Story, a JRPG that was released on the Wii. The gameplay is great, but then so is the soundtrack. Check out The Last Story here.
By the way, check out Evriuns amazing artwork in the featured image. See the little avatars?
YvoCaro Plays
Despite my more then filled agenda when it comes to my other job in real life, there’s always something that reminds me of gaming during the day. Well, actually, my stressful job reminded me of times without internet and the need to play more casual games when my brain is already on overload. Anyway, read my game-related ramblings of this week here.
Pick ‘n’ Mix games
The 10th edition of Pick ‘n’ Mix Games; a weekly team effort. Pick ‘n’ Mix strives to give you some tips about video games which are both fun and designed to be played in short bursts. Plus, they are little gems on a budget for the various handheld devices. Here is the 10th bag of sweets!
This week Jonah talks about Storm in a Teacup and Runner 3 (Switch), Evriun about Castlestorm (Switch) and I tell you about a management sim series on mobile that’s special to me: Delicious Emily.
The news for this week
November 16 was the day Pokémon Let’s Go hit the stores. I had promised myself I could buy one game, and I had to choose between Pokémon or Civilisation VI. I decided to go for CIV 6, enthused by the mobile version. It looks so good, and with the voice of Sean Bean in the background I was instantly won.
They call this type of games 4x strategy games. 4x stands for explore, expand, exploit and exterminate. And that’s just what I’ll be doing after hours of instruction first! I couldn’t resist making a couple of articles too for beginners:
Civilization VI is getting close: how did I make the choice between catching them all or hours of instruction and tons to learn?
Civilization VI on Switch: where to begin? Very daunting to jump in, and I’m glad fellow writer ChamZen is an old hand at these kind of games. I’ll share what tips I can, just in case you are a beginner too!
Published in other news:
- The Liar Princess & the Blind Prince
- New translations for Madorica Real Estate
- Harry Potter Wizards Unite in 2019
That’s it for this week’s Wrap Up!
Thank you for visiting, and have a great gaming week!
