Poll Handheld Game of the Year 2018

Yes, it’s that time of year again, time to pick our Handheld Game of 2018.  Making the list of games to choose from wasn’t easy this year. It’s a huge one, combining 3DS, Vita and Switch games and even mentioning some mobile games.

The Poll will stay open till December 30, so don’t forget to choose your favourite 3 games. The Poll is here.

Over the weeks you will find some of our writers and guest writers tops 3. This week is was Pikodoodle’s turn  and guest writer Jason also chipped in.

From Steam to Switch?

In this series of articles I take a look at casual simulation games that are on Steam, but haven’t made the jump to the Switch. Of course, as a fan of Nintendo’s hybrid console I think many of these games would fit perfectly on the Switch. “From Steam to Switch?” lists the games I have on my radar, hoping they will make the switch (pun intended!).

This week I featured Deiland, made by Chibig Studio who is currently making Summer in Mara to bring  to the Switch.

Soundtracks we Love

This week’s soundtrack is from a fantasy puzzle-platformer game, that has it’s story told by a narrator in the fashion of a storybook being read: Trine 2. You can find the soundtrack here.

YvoCaro Plays

December is a strange kind of month: a mix of cosy family time and a sense of loss of people who left our lives. This week I couldn’t resist sharing a very Christmassy youtube clip, about little Frekkel. Told you that sometimes it doesn’t have anything to do with games!  Here’s this weeks YvoCaro Plays

Pick ‘n’ Mix games

The 14th edition of Pick ‘n’ Mix Games; a weekly team effort. Pick ‘n’ Mix strives to give you some tips about video games which are both fun and designed to be played in short bursts. Plus, they are little gems on a budget for the various handheld devices. Here is the 14th bag of sweets!

This weeks’ article is about the 911 Operator Bundle, Passpartout: the Starving Artist and Bomber Crew, all on offer on the Switch. And about Pokémon Shuffle on the 3DS and Mobile.

That’s it for this week’s Wrap Up!

Thank you for visiting, and have a great gaming week!

We love to hear from you!
