You might not realise it, but it’s a special day for Animal Crossing fans.
On April 14th, 2001, the first Animal Crossing game was released! Known in Japan as Dōbutsu no Mori, it was released on the N64 and got an enhanced port for the GameCube. The GameCube version was localised for North America, Australia, and Europe between 2002 and 2004. Since then, we’ve all been able to dive into the goodness of living in a village with anthropomorphic neighbours.
One year ago, I already celebrated everything Animal Crossing brought into my life, as you can read in this YvoCaro Plays: Celebrating Animal Crossing.
Now on this official day, there is a little present waiting for you in your mailbox at New Horizons! Be sure to pop in and check it out!
