Hidden Cat Memories is a hidden object game developed by Gemcraft Games and released by Gemcraft Games and Bleeding Moon Studio in 2024.
The Premise of Hidden Cat Memories
In Hidden Cat Memories, we embark on a unique journey to find kittens’ lost souls and help them recall their cherished memories with their humans. Each discovered kitten’s soul transforms into a normal kitten, adding an intriguing twist to the gameplay.
Gameplay
We have a big, very detailed scene with many interactive elements – pots of flowers, curtains, and so on, which hide kittens. On the top of the screen, we have three counters showing how many cats we have to find, how many can be found immediately, and how many require additional action.
We also have to find several symbols along with the kittens – such as moons, paws, etc. Finding all the symbols unlocks several portals, which lead to hidden memories that provide a deeper understanding of the kittens’ past with their humans.
One thing to note, which I wasn’t a big fan of, is the absence of a hint button. While the game is undoubtedly touching, it can also get a bit annoying at the end when we have only a handful of cats to find. The absence of a hint button can make the game more challenging, but it also adds to the sense of accomplishment when you find all the cats. I think a hint button is a nice touch, giving the players some choice about the gameplay.
Some Other Things
As with other games from the same developers, Hidden Cat Memories boasts a delightful art style and a soothing soundtrack. The game also features Steam achievements, basic audio and graphics settings, and a comprehensive how-to-play section, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Conclusion
Hidden Cat Memories is another pleasant addition to the hidden cats genre, providing enough content to keep you busy.
