Let’s Get Started

I Heard You Like Puzzles

I absolutely adore a challenging puzzle. Ever since I was young, I have been captivated by the thrill of putting together pieces to create a beautiful image. I have such fond memories of spending Sundays with my nan, working on jigsaw puzzles for hours on end. Puzzle-solving has always been a special bonding activity for me and my loved ones. It’s a fantastic way to relax and clear your mind, except for those moments of sheer frustration when you’re left with just one missing piece, and it is nowhere to be found (not that I’m speaking from experience or anything…).

Puzzle enthusiasts everywhere can agree that there is nothing quite like the feeling of satisfaction when the final piece falls into place. Puzzle-solving brings joy, camaraderie, and endless entertainment – I can’t get enough of it!

From beginner to expert

Let’s Puzzle is Suitable For All Skill Levels

One of the reasons why I adore Let’s Puzzle is its ability to cater to puzzle lovers of all skill levels. Whether you prefer a gentle 100-piece puzzle to unwind after a busy day or a challenging 3000-piece puzzle to really test yourself, Let’s Puzzle has something for everyone. I appreciate the flexibility it offers, allowing me to save my progress and come back to it whenever I have a spare moment. It’s like leaving a puzzle out on a table and returning to it throughout the day or week, savouring the process at my own pace. Let’s Puzzle truly understands the joy and relaxation that puzzling can bring, no matter how much time you have to spare.

One aspect of Let’s Puzzle that I really wanted to experience but was unable to be playing with friends. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone who owns a copy of the game, and whenever I tried to join a public lobby, there were no games available. I’m not sure if this is due to a lack of players or if I was just unlucky with timing, but it was a bit disheartening. The game emphasizes the social aspect of puzzling, and I was eagerly looking forward to trying it out with friends. I hope that in the future, I will be able to connect and collaborate with others in this way.

On the right are various categories that you can tag your photo with to make it easy to find the puzzle amongst the list. The photo underneath the second text box shows a black and white cat surrounded by bubbles amongst a grassy backdrop.
Endless possibilities with puzzle creation

Endless Puzzle Creation

One feature that really stands out to me is the option to personalize your own puzzles using your own photos. The options for puzzle designs are truly limitless when you have access to an abundance of photos and images to choose from. Not only that, but you can also organize your images into categories based on their content, making it easier to locate specific puzzles. This level of customization creates a seamlessly enjoyable experience for puzzle enthusiasts.

Now shown in the image above is the option to add your own music to a puzzle while playing. It’s worth noting that you can only use music tracks that are already saved on your hard drive, which may not be as useful at a time when streaming music is so popular. I personally would have enjoyed the option to link to music services like Spotify for a more seamless experience. However, you can always manually play your preferred playlist in the background. While the idea of adding your own music is nice in theory, its practicality is uncertain.

Puzzle Your Way…Kind Of

Let’s Puzzle provides users with a variety of helpful settings to enhance their puzzle-solving experience. In addition to the save setting and the option to easily organize non-placed pieces, there is also the feature of viewing the complete image you are trying to recreate. Another useful setting involves coloured lines being displayed in the puzzle area, which helps guide you in placing the correct coloured pieces. These helpful tools are here to assist and support you as you enjoy the challenge of solving puzzles.

I found myself missing a setting that would allow me to display only the edge pieces in the puzzle game I was playing. This feature is commonly found in other puzzle games I have experienced, and not having it made it difficult for me to navigate due to my sight problems. While I tried to find a solution by exploring the setting icons, some of them didn’t seem to work for me. It’s possible that one of these settings actually offered the ability to show only the edge pieces, but I couldn’t find any indication of this. It was a frustrating experience, and I hope that the developers consider adding this feature for players who may have similar challenges.

Conclusion

Let’s Puzzle is an amazing jigsaw puzzle game that provides a wide variety of options for creating unique puzzles. With over 50 puzzles included in the game and the convenient feature of being able to save your progress, it truly is a fantastic game. However, I personally feel that the inability to show edge pieces only holds it back from being a perfect experience. I really hope that this feature will be added in the future to make the game even better for players.
