Pokémon Pokopia, the wonderful cozy life‑sim exclusive to the Switch 2, has rolled out its latest update this week, nudging the game up to Version 1.0.3. Much like last month’s 1.0.2 patch, this update focuses on stability, quest progression fixes, and quality‑of‑life improvements, though one lingering bug is still only “partially fixed” according to Nintendo.
The update is available now and applies automatically when connected online.
What’s Improved in Version 1.0.3
Nintendo’s official support notes confirm that the team has targeted several long‑standing issues affecting exploration, construction, and seasonal Pokémon behaviour. The headline fix addresses a frustrating scenario where Pokémon with vanished habitats couldn’t be found even via the Pokédex’s Search function.

Full Patch Notes — Pokémon Pokopia Ver. 1.0.3
Major Improvements
- Resolved an issue where Pokémon with missing habitats would not appear even when searched for in the Pokédex.
Bug Fixes
If you’ve already encountered any of the following problems, installing the update should resolve them:
- Dream Island travel glitch: Players arriving in Palette Town unexpectedly and becoming unable to return.
- Black screen transitions: Screen remaining dark when moving between towns or after an in‑game date change.
- Habitat relocation lockout: Certain actions making it impossible to move Pokémon habitats.
- Construction stalls: Building projects failing to complete until the in‑game date advanced.
- Bleak Beach progression block: Actions preventing progress in the request “Power up the charging station!”
- Sparkling Skylands construction bug: Requested helper Pokémon disappearing, halting progress on rebuilding the huge building.
- Cloud Islands seasonal Pokémon issue: Seasonal Pokémon vanishing from both the town and Cloud Island after certain actions.
- Cloud Island creation error: New islands failing to generate due to an error.
Partially Fixed
- Continuous controller vibration: Still possible under specific conditions, but now “less likely to occur.”
I greeted the news of the update in hopes of getting some news of the one thing that’s annoying in Pokémon Pokopia, the storage problem, but alas! I’ll have to wait!
