Slide Stories: Neko’s Journey takes players on a little tiny outing with a young woman and her pet cat. They take the train to go on a little adventure, bringing the player along with them.
The Story and Gameplay
I am the biggest sucker for anything that is cute. And Slide Stories: Neko’s Journey has cuteness in spades! This little game is all about a tiny cat on a big journey. The girl and her cat spend the day out on the town, wandering around to see the sights, the flowers, and hang out together. All the art is in a beautiful, hand-drawn-looking style, and the little kitten is just the sweetest little friend.

There are a total of six sliding puzzles to choose from, starting with getting ready in the morning, visiting the shops together, seeing the aquarium, visiting the beach, the park, then heading back home after a long day. Each puzzle has several levels of difficulty. The easiest one labelled “Relaxing” has eight sliding pieces. There is also easy, “Fun,” challenging, and Pro.

They are played just like all sliding puzzles, slipping the pieces around until the picture is formed. There is a shuffle button, a button to see what the finished picture should look like, and a numbered hint system.
The Pros of Slide Stories: Neko’s Journey

This game has some beautiful art. It’s hard to overstate how charming the images of the little girl and her marmalade are. I have a marmalade cat myself, and it reminds me of my little fuzz baby. I also like sliding puzzles; they are not top of the pile for me as puzzles go, but I find them relaxing to do.
The Cons of Slide Stories: Neko’s Journey

This game is just too short! I wanted more little cat stories from this puzzle game. I know it was only a $3 USD game, but I would be willing to pay a little more to get more little stories of this cute couple. The art is wonderful, and I want to see what other adventures these two go on!
Conclusion
Slide Stories: Neko’s Journey was just a little too short for me. While I could have gone back and played each level on the ramping difficulty, I wasn’t tempted. But if you love slide puzzles and you love cats, then you will most likely love this game!
Final Verdict: I Like it.Â
