Here at LadiesGamers, we have reviewed a few of the developer MixoGames puzzle games. Mina reviewed Lost Amulets: Four Guardians and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs up. I’ve been playing Twistingo: Bird Paradise Collector’s Edition. Will it be fair as well in regards to the highest score? Read on and find out.
Help the Birds
Twistingo: Bird Paradise Collector’s Edition is a puzzle game with various puzzle styles incorporated into the gameplay. The story is good and interesting enough to keep me playing until the game is completed.
A devastating storm has ripped through the tropical Bird Paradise. In the process, it destroyed the homes of the beautiful feathered residents. The locals have come to you for help. You’ll assist in rebuilding the homes of the birds that live in the lush island rainforest. You’ll do so by searching the ruins and collecting resources to restore the island’s former beauty, and of course, you’ll complete numerous puzzles along the way.
Different Modes of Play
You can play in a Casual Mode, Normal Mode or Expert Mode. I tried out all the modes and finally settled on the casual mode. The game consists of various puzzles, from Bingo, Hidden Objects, and Solitaire, to name a few. As you complete each puzzle, you earn coins that open up the collectables.
There are plenty of quality puzzles to keep any puzzle fan busy. In addition, each puzzle has a storyboard screen that is like a tutorial on how to solve the puzzle. The puzzles were relatively easy in all modes, and it is a chill game.
Zuma Like Bingo
I particularly like the bingo as it is played a little like Zuma, where coloured balls snake their way to the exit. Only in Twistingo: Bird Paradise Collector’s Edition, the balls are numbered, and you match them to a bingo card. It is a neat take on the Zuma games.
The hidden object puzzles are packed with objects to find and numbered balls to collect. Some of the hidden objects games require you to find items listed on paper notes. The others games may require multiples of the same object or categories in multiples, such as four dogs or teddy bears, to be found.
Since this version of Twistingo: Bird Paradise is the Collector’s Edition, it has 21 different Levels. In addtion, there are solitaire and casino games. Furthermore, there is an art gallery where you can look at the beautiful artwork and a music soundtrack to listen to.
The game is played with a keyboard and mouse, and it all performs as it should. The sound and overall presentation of the game are on par with a triple-A game. The artwork in the game is gorgeous; I had a few problems deciding, out of the many photos I took while playing the game, what ones I wanted to use for this review.
Overall, I enjoyed playing Twistingo: Bird Paradise Collector’s Edition. The puzzles are suitable for any age, and the game is beautiful to look at while playing. Twistingo: Bird Paradise Collector’s Edition has a good variety of puzzles to keep any puzzle fan busy for hours on end. I can’t find any reason to give Twistingo: Bird Paradise a lower score than…
Final Verdict: Two Thumbs Up
