Hello there, my dear Patron! Nice to see you here in our latest Newsletter looking back at all that happened on the site since then, starting June 7th until June 13th of 2021. For those that were paying attention to the title, you didn’t miss a NewsLetter, but I decided to relate the numbers to the week in the year!

Mystic Pillars: A Story-Based Puzzle Game Review – We Like It a Lot

Puzzle (US $6.99 | UK £5.00 | EU € 5,69)

Elena: If you’re up for a numbers-based puzzle game, I highly recommend Mystic Pillars. Adding a hint system would make it perfect, but it’s still a good game without one. Not only is the gameplay solid, but the visuals and sound show that Holy Cow Productions went the extra mile to present a polished game.

Cosmic Top Secret Review – We Like It a Lot

Puzzle adventure game (US $9.99 | UK £8.99 | EU € 9,99)

James: Cosmic Top Secret ended up being a delightful experience for me. Initially, I wasn’t sure what to make of the unusual art style and documentary design. But the more I progressed, the more I learned and became genuinely interested in the subject matter.

I think of this game like one of those one off exhibits you see at a museum, only here you can enjoy the experience in the comfort of your own home on the sofa or your favourite chair. Give it a go, you might learn something and possibly get the feels. This is a secret well worth discovering.

Imagine Earth Review – We Like It a Lot

Simulation Strategy (US $24.99 | UK £22.99 | EU € 24,99)

Paula: Imagine Earth provides a thoughtful, charming, strategy simulation tackling a lot of real-world issues. There’s a substantial campaign and plenty of content to keep you busy. I particularly enjoyed all the strategic trade-offs involved in selecting different technologies and the effect of my decisions in the layout of my colony and productivity buildings have on the climate of the planet.

Developers, Serious Bros, are continually updating and issuing hotfixes for Imagine Earth, by listening to gamers suggestions. Imagine Earth is an absorbing simulation, strategy sci-fi. I can’t wait to see what other delights they have in store for the game in future!

Chroma Quaternion Review – We Like It a Lot

Adventure RPG (US $14.99 | UK £13.49 | EU €14,99)

Paula: Overall, I like Chroma Quaternion, there are a few things that make the game feel slightly new and updated to other KEMCO JRPG’S. I certainly appreciate the sprites have appropriate clothing requirements and aren’t half-dressed. This also makes Chroma Quaternion more accessible to younger gamers, who might want to try out their first JRPG.

Chroma Quaternion has an engaging lighthearted plot, with likeable characters, and who could resist a fluffy animal companion.

Basketball Club Story Review – We Like It a Lot

Sports Strategy (US $14.00 | UK £11.69 | EU € 14,00)

James: If you’re familiar with the Kairosoft formula by now you probably know what to expect. One can’t deny that they are masters of their craft.

Basketball Club Story was an entertaining sim that had me cheering for my AI-controlled video game players from the sidelines. If that’s not a sign of a good experience I don’t know what is.

Sunblaze Review – We Like It a Lot

Action Platformer (US $14.99 | UK £13.49 | EU € 14,99)

James: Sunblaze strikes a good balance of offering a challenging platform experience to old and new fans of hardcore platform fans. The bite-sized design of the levels also makes this an easy game to pick up in short gaming bursts, should you have a busy lifestyle. Sunblaze didn’t make a superhero out of me but I sure did have fun playing it.

Nature Matters Review – We Like It

Logic Puzzle (US $4.99 | UK £4.49 | EU $ 4,99)

Yvonne:Nature Matters is a great looking logic puzzle game, with relaxing background music. The perfect game to go with a nice cup of coffee in between your daily workload. Quick to jump in, do a few levels and jump back out again.

A little more variance in the levels would have been appreciated, but overall, if you like your logic puzzles: be sure to check this one out. It’s currently on sale till June 16 in various country, so you could find lots of puzzle fun for a small price.

After playing, you can judge for yourself if you are more attuned to nature!

Motif Review – We Like It

Puzzle (US $2.99 | UK £2.69 | EU € 2,99)

Paula: Motif is pretty reasonably priced in the eShop, though the game is cheaper on the Apple App Store. I guess it depends on what size of screen you want to play on. The game is perfectly suited to the smaller screen of the Switch. As it is Motif is an acceptable puzzle game for a few hours of puzzling.
