Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon is an upcoming 2024 adventure game developed and to be released by Boomzap Inc.

The Premise of Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon

In Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon, we play as archeologist Helena Nightshade, who investigates an ominous eternal lunar eclipse prophesied by estranged Moon Worshippers, also known as the Anaxagori.

Gameplay

Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon is a classic hidden object game with some additional puzzles and mini-games for variety. The game has 35 chapters, each with 1 to 3 sub-scenes for finding hidden objects, 29 subgames related to the story, and six special chapters.

The hidden object part of the game is excellent for the central part. The scenes are interactive, with amazing graphics and pleasant enough music. There’s also the option for a magnifier for smaller objects. The interactive elements are excellent and well-thought-out.

I had no trouble with the cursor not reacting fast enough, which was very good. I didn’t particularly appreciate that some of the objects we needed to find didn’t make more sense in the scene’s context. For example, we might need to find a kitten in the sky or something equally ridiculous. It’s also annoying because, in another scene, we have a dragon-shaped cloud, which was a clever way to hide a dragon in the scene. If we get stuck, we have a rechargeable hint button.

The mini-games in Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon offer a diverse range of challenges, from spot-the-difference games to rearrange-a-picture games. The variety ensures that you’ll always find something to keep you entertained, and you can skip them if you wish.

When you start the game, you have the option to go through a tutorial, which can be skipped if you’re familiar with this type of game. You can also set a custom difficulty level, where you can choose from easy, medium, and complex. This feature allows you to tailor the game to your preferred level of challenge.

Some Other Things

The Collector’s Edition of the game adds some extra levels and wallpapers. In terms of settings, we have basic audio and graphics. Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon also has Steam achievements, but no trading cards as of yet.

Conclusion

While Nightshade Mysteries: Eternal Moon is not a groundbreaking addition to the hidden object games, it’s fun with vibrant graphics and enough content to keep you occupied. The story is simple but engaging enough to take us to the end.
