Hello Handheld Gamers! A New Face

Hey there. I am new writer on this lovely site. My name is Vic Thorley and I hope you enjoy my future ramblings!

So a little bit about me. I am 29 and live in the North West of England. I am a huge handheld gaming fan. I have loved handheld gaming since the first Gameboy that I got for Christmas when I was about 8, I barely put it down for about 3 years! I still own it along with GBA, 3DS XL, 2DS XL, PSVita, PSP and the hybrid Nintendo Switch. Currently I probably play the 2DS XL the most as it is the most comfortable to hold which is important when having long gaming sessions, which I often do.  Other than gaming my hobbies include writing short stories of different genres and art therapy.

I also play PS4 and my retro consoles N64 and Gamecube. But I prefer handheld gaming because I feel more relaxed when playing handhelds and I can  play them anywhere. I also prefer playing solo, just occasionally playing Mario Kart for example, with friends or group members. I also discovered when opening my group that the handheld gaming community seems friendlier than other gaming communities. Would love to read your personal experiences of this.

I also run a Facebook group called Handheld Gaming Network. If you wanna share your love of handhelds there too come join us, we’d love to have you, you can find the group here.

You can expect to read a range of articles from me from opinion pieces to reviews, I will try to cover every handheld if I can! Thanks for reading my brief introduction today! You will be seeing more of me anyway.
