Upcoming Switch Games
Not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games. You can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
While Waiting – February 5th

Presented by the team behind critically acclaimed Moncage, this is a transformative adventure exploring the art of waiting. Clear the game by doing nothing, but discover the power of acceptance and patience in numerous situations from birth to death. Learn to embrace life as you wait.
Mina reviewed While Waiting and said this in her conclusion:
While Waiting was fun, it was weird, it was unique, and it was a lot of time waiting around for things to happen. Overall, this strange little game is exactly what it claims to be in the Steam description. I had a lot of fun with my time in the game, and I hope to be able to finish it soon (I’m nearly done). I very rarely go back to a game after I have finished reviewing it, even if I liked it a lot unless there was something really special about it.
I think this might be one of the games I make a little time to finish up in the very near future.
Big Helmet Heroes – February 6th

Discover the hilarious world of Big Helmet Heroes, a 3D beat ’em up combining combat and adventure. Find 29 adorable heroes hidden in fantastic kingdoms and choose your favorites to save the princess. Play alone or with a friend, and try to overcome the formidable challenges that await you!
James reviewed the game and gave it an I Like it a Lot, saying:
Big Helmet Heroes is a joy from start to finish. Whether you’re playing alone or with a friend in co-op, there’s plenty of fun to be had without the game ever feeling overly complicated. It’s the perfect pick for a game night, especially if you’re in the mood for something lighthearted and silly.
While the combat can get a little repetitive over long play sessions, the variety of knights, weapons, and unexpected surprises help keep things entertaining. If you’re looking for a game that’s easy to pick up, full of humour, and packed with ridiculous fun, Big Helmet Heroes is an easy recommendation.
Moons of Darsalon – February 6th

Teams of darsanauts got lost during their mining missions on the different moons of the planet Darsalon. On your way to the base you will have to protect them from dangers and enemies using your laser gun, jet pack, pilot ground and air vehicles, destroy terrain, and even make new paths with the ground maker gun.
James gave the game an I Like it a Lot, saying in conclusion:
Moons of Darsalon is a standout platformer that masterfully combines retro aesthetics, innovative gameplay mechanics, and a generous dose of humour. Its mix of strategic problem-solving, creative tools, and engaging rescue missions make it a joy to play, even when occasional glitches or AI hiccups cause minor frustrations.
For fans of retro-inspired games, puzzle platformers, or anyone looking for something truly unique, Moons of Darsalon is a sci-fi gem that deserves a spot in your library. With its charming visuals, witty humour, and rewarding gameplay, it’s a game that will keep you coming back for more.

Paula reviewed Amber Isle on Steam and liked it a lot, concluding:
Despite its early bugs and minor frustrations, Amber Isle delivers a charming, cosy simulation with a lot of heart. It’s easy to get swept up running your prehistoric shop and watching the island come back to life with a cast of dinosaurs that are cute and full of character.
Though it still has some rough edges, Amber Isle manages to offer an experience that improves the more time you spend with it. With recent and future patches to smooth out the bugs, it has the potential to be a go-to game for anyone looking for a relaxing yet engaging simulation.

Kalina reviewed Echoes of the Plum Grove on Steam and gave it our highest rating, concluding with:
Echoes of the Plum Grove is a charming addition to the well-populated farming/survival sim games genre. While none of the gameplay mechanics are particularly novel, the game’s unique look is sure to attract quite a few fans. At the same time, the game offers more than enough content to make you stay in-game for several seasons.

Freddy Farmer – February 27th

Freddy Farmer is a retro arcade style game with 16-bit pixel art graphics in the style of the 80s/90s where you can test your skills as a player.
Freddy’s daughter has been kidnapped by an evil dragon that lives on top of an abandoned castle.
The only possibility to rescue her is through a magic potion that only a mysterious wizard who lives in the forest can make, but to do so, he will need to get some very specific ingredients and these in turn must be mixed in a certain order using magical cauldrons that are spread throughout the kingdom.
With the only action of jumping, Freddy must collect all these ingredients while trying to avoid all the enemies and dangers in his path until he reaches the cauldron of each of the levels having collected the ingredients in the correct order.
James reviewed Freddy Farmer and said this in his conclusion:
In the end, Freddy Farmer didn’t fully click with me, but I still respect what it achieves. Its unique level design, creative enemy AI, and polished presentation are all commendable. However, the game is clearly aimed at a very specific audience: players who enjoy brutally difficult, unforgiving arcade challenges.
If you’re the type of gamer who thrives on memorizing patterns, overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles, and chasing high scores, Freddy Farmer will likely be a rewarding experience. There’s a real sense of accomplishment in finally clearing a level after dozens of failed attempts.
However, for more casual players or those who prefer games with at least some level of accessibility, the lack of a save system and punishing difficulty make it a tough recommendation. There’s fun to be had, but only if you’re willing to endure a steep learning curve and plenty of frustration.
For the low asking price, it’s at least worth a shot for those curious about the challenge. But be warned, this is not a game that holds your hand. If you’re looking for a hardcore arcade experience, Freddy Farmer delivers. If not, you may want to pass.
