This week Nintendo released a new DenpaMen game in the eShop, Denpa Ningen RPG. And this time, the game wasn’t some 10 euro or 10 dollars, the game is free. The developer, Genius Sonority, is going to try to get their money’s worth out of the game using a freemium model you see a lot in app gaming too. You have to buy stuff to get ahead in the game in this case jewels.
I did download the new Japanese game, but instead of giving it a try, I remembered that I still had a lot of adventure ahead of me in the third DenpaMen game, The Rise of the Digitoll. A more difficult game and a good chance that I’d spend more money in the end? Plus it seems that the game is more linear and less open world. A pity to me, because I love sailing around finding new islands and battling new monsters.
So for now I jumped right back in the Digitoll game and loved it again. These little critters really manage to steal your heart. And finding one with a cool antennae on it’s head really feels good! I think I found Kyra in the wifi waves in the train. My team is solid, they are now battling their little socks of to level up a bit for tougher monsters. And they never complain! If you love RPG, you should really go for one of the three that are in the eshop already in Europe and the US!
