We are always on the lookout for Kickstarter campaigns that catch our attention, and this time we want to bring you some news about an interesting one called Guild of Dragons.
Guild of Dragons Kickstarter campaign went live on the 22nd of February, and within 28 hours, the game was funded to the tune of £15,324 by 403 backers, of which I am one. The game is being developed by Artcue, a husband and wife team, Claudius and Eva Maria.

Guild of Dragons
Artcue’s game Guild of Dragons will be a Settlement builder with Dragon taming. The dragons are what drew me to the game the first time I saw it on Twitter. I’m a sucker for anything dragon related.
Long ago, after the Calamity, the Dragons that held the balance of the world were gone. However, Shaduhum, the leader of the Drab Collective, has established a reign of fear over the land.
The Color Wielders are forbidden from using the Four Colors; they are hunted and enslaved by the Drab. You are the last hope left in building a world where both dragons and people can live and thrive together in harmony. Are you up to the task?

Dragon Mage
The Guild of Dragons will be a first-person or third-person perspective game, where you are a Dragon Mage. You can explore different environmental biomes to find needed resources. You and your people can mine stones and other resources.
Using the resources, you will be able to construct buildings for your settlement. In addition, you can assign workers to keep the production chain running smoothly. Unlike the first-person perspective at stages of the gameplay, the camera will change to a top-down view when you are building. But beware, every decision you make in your settlement will have consequences as not everyone will agree with your decisions.

Grow Crops, Craft and Trade
Farming is also included; you will have to feed your citizens after all as you can’t have them starve to death. So grow dragonfruits, crops, flowers, and herbs, planted in the glasshouse, or in the herbalist’s house, or on a farm. Craft potions and power-ups and trade goods with nearby settlements.

Tame Dragons
Being a Dragon Mage wouldn’t be much good without a dragon, so it’s just as well that you will be able to tame the beasts raise and command them. Ever wanted to ride on a Dragons back, you’ll get the chance to do that too.
You’ll also be able to send a dragon out on scout missions and help discover new resources that will lead to crafting different weapons.

Watch out for the Drab Collective
The Drab Collective has ruled over many settlements, and their influence is spreading far and wide. Therefore, you will need to be wary as you expand your settlement. You won’t want to upset the neighbours (Drab Collective) and draw unwanted attention.
The Drab has been draining energy from precious Ancient Dragon eggs and using it to spawn distorted creatures they can control. The eggs are found scattered throughout different regions, protected by the Drabrats and monsters. When you are strong enough, form a dragon team and attack the Drab Collective to free the last remaining Dragon eggs from doom.

The developers have planned for Guild of Dragons to be released on Steam (Windows) and later on macOS. You can find the Guild of Dragons Kickstarter page here and find out more about what is planned for the game.
