Natsume has announced Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There’s no firm release date yet.
In this new Harvest Moon game, you will start in Bloomfield Village, where the Forest of Echoes has blanketed Teradea in a strange mist and wild wolves roam after dark. Looking at the first screen shots, I think it looks like a more adventurous setup than usual, with your journey bringing you from Tidewind’s storm‑battered docks to Quarrytop’s quake‑shaken mines and the fading cultural hub of Maplehill. Each region has its own troubles, and you’re nudged to help the Guardian Spirits bring the land back to life.
Between all that travelling, you still tend your farm, raise animals, and build a life for yourself, the familiar Harvest Moon loop. Threaded through is a wider story about restoring a world that’s slowly slipping away. Ten new love interests join the cast, giving you plenty of room to shape your relationships as the seasons roll on.
Exploration looks good with more abilities. You can jump to hidden spots, climb vines and ladders, and bring animal companions along for the ride, each with their own abilities. The wilderness isn’t entirely friendly, though; wolves, bears, and even tigers can send you scrambling back home if you’re not careful. Nautical charts also let you sail out to remote islands, where rarer creatures and treasures wait.
Everything you do feeds into Happilia, a measure of how much you’ve helped Teradea recover. The more you pitch in, the brighter the world becomes.
A good game to look forward to!
