Hot Pot Game is a 2025 merge puzzle game, developed and released by theis.
Gameplay
Hot Pot Game is a merge puzzle game where we need to keep a merge streak to get helpful items and cook the best hot pot ever.
The game’s basic setup features an empty pot that we fill with hot pot ingredients, which merge and evolve into new ones. In the classic mode with items, we earn boosters after maintaining a series of combos.
Controls are easy: use the left mouse button to drop a food item, and hold the right mouse button to rotate it. Merging food items evolves them into new food items. The larger the food items, the more points and experience you earn when combining them.
In terms of boosters, each level allows you to choose a booster, and clicking on the cabinet in the lower left corner gives you access to it. Boosters can be active and passive. Clicking left on a booster means using it, and the right click is cancelling it. Overall, the game has more than 30 unique items to help you make the best hot pot ever, like pencils for drawing obstacle lines, slingshots for blowing objects off, air pumps for making objects bigger, and so on.
If you leave the food or items overflowing from the edge of the pot for a certain amount of time, the game will end. At the end of each game, we see our results on a scoreboard.
The game features several modes, including two classic modes with and without boosters, a mode with abnormalities, a chestnut pot that occasionally drops chestnuts for extra difficulty, and a magnet pot with and without boosters. The magnet pot transforms the classic pot into a magnet, requiring items and food to stay within its radius for the game to continue. In Abnormality mode, we have a variety of abnormalities, for example, an eruption, shooting stars, or space travel.
Some Other Things
Hot Pot Game has basic audio and graphics settings. The game has a demo on its Steam page, as well as Steam achievements, but no Trading cards yet.
