March 2016 is close, and so is the release of the first Nintendo Mobile game, Miitomo! Today Nintendo’s press machine announced that European fans will be able to download Miitomo in March on their iOS and Android phones and tablets. The same will go for Australian and North American fans. Miitomo will be free to start, and will act as a way to bring friends together by sharing silly facts about each other. You will be able to share pictures of your Mii too. I have high hopes that this will make up for the loss of Swapnote in the past, but we will see.
The European countries where it will be launched are the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Russia and the Netherlands. To accommodate the youngster it will be available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Dutch and Japanese.
The new My Nintendo program will be released at the same time as Miitomo, and of course, you will be able to connect the two, as well as your other Nintendo devices. More and more details from the My Nintendo program surface, what I’ve read so far is that there will be two points systems: Platinum Points will work more or less like the former Club Nintendo, with goods and games as rewards, and Gold Points will act as coupons for the eShop.
As from February 17 you will be able to pre-register for the My Nintendo program and everyone who does so before the launch of Miitomo, is promised a special bonus. There will be a site dedicated to Miitomo here, but there’s nothing there yet. As soon as I hear where you can pre-register, I’ll put the info on the site.
You know, I’m actually looking forward to this!
