Captain of Police, Mr Hishiro, compels them to cooperate on the investigation of the murder of Mr Couane, a local merchant who was found in the early morning, sliced into sausages and various pieces of charcuterie in his café.

Yvonne put her thoughts down about this game, writing in conclusion:

Magret & FaceDeBouc combines storytelling with absurd and humour to create a unique point-and-click adventure. While its crude humour may not be for everyone, those who enjoy a mix of mystery and dark comedy will find it an entertaining addition to their library. Just be sure to keep it away from the kids!

SCHiM – July 18th

Schim

SCHiM is a game about jumping from shadow to shadow while interacting in a relaxing and lively environment.

What is a schim? A schim is the soul and spirit of an object, thing, or living being. Everything in the world has one. A schim should never be separated from their thing! This happens to your schim; this schim, who is attached to a human being, is separated from them early on in the game.

Anni reviewed SCHiM and wrote in her conclusion:

SCHiM is truly a fascinating game concept that seamlessly blends platforming, exploration, and puzzles to deliver an incredibly engaging and thought-provoking experience. The way it intertwines these elements creates a captivating and immersive world for players to get lost in. You can expect to be challenged and entertained in equal measure as you navigate through this unique and innovative game. The only thing that knocks it down a rating for me is purely the frequent crashes I experienced.

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure – July 25th

Upcoming Steam Games Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure follows the story of Jemma, a small-town misfit on a journey of self-discovery. Venturing out beyond her stiflingly cosy confines, she finds an inspiring world – but also one ruled by fear and a strange, immovable ‘static’ force. Can she disrupt a culture of stagnation and find a place to fit into it?

Gameplay takes place on a unique, interconnected ‘grid’ that spans the entire world, snappily uniting movement, exploration, and combat. Anything on the same row or column as Jemma moves when she moves and can ‘loop’ around the edge of the grid – creating both a playful sense of chaos and a regular stream of small, thoughtful puzzles that twist and play with the central mechanic.

Paula gave Arranger our highest score, writing in conclusion:

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure is a game focused on the core experience of exploration and puzzle-solving. It brings a refreshing twist to the RPG genre. Its innovative grid system, storytelling, and visuals make it a standout title for me on the Nintendo Switch.

The game’s unique approach to movement, exploration, and combat, combined with its story, ensures that it will leave a lasting impression on players. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or new to the genre, Arranger is an adventure worth embarking on.

Upcoming Steam Games The Garden Path

The Garden Path is a slice-of-life gardening sim that celebrates small moments. No matter how you decide to play, the garden is a tender world of familiar sights and sounds, mysteries, and friendly faces. A space to call your own, to curate, and to reflect.

Designed to be played in short bursts as and when you wish, time in The Garden Path runs in concert with the outside world. Stop by to wander your garden whenever the mood takes you, and find new travellers, events, activities, and distractions waiting for you each day. Take your time, play for a little while, and experience it all at your own pace.

Lynne took the Garden Path and liked what she saw, writing in conclusion:

The depth and breadth of The Garden Path are so extensive and coupled with real-time interaction that it’s hard to review after only a few days of play. This is not a game for the faint-hearted. If you like bright colours and clear guidance, look for a different game. But, just like in real life, the more time and effort you invest, the more reward you get, especially when it comes to gardening.
