Collect resources above ground and ores down below so we can get those wealthy bots in here to help us build bigger, and we can get out of here!
Paula reviewed SteamWorld Build and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up and said this in her conclusion:
SteamWorld Build is a delightful game where you always work towards interesting goals. The combination of city building and mining work in tandem together extremely well. It’s a brilliant pairing of opposites, from the bright sunshine on the surface to popping into the mine, which is dank and dark, with the SteamWorld aesthetic tying it all together.

Then one day she receives a letter from her Uncle Hamish urging her to come to the coast. If she can reach his lighthouse for Beltane, a wonderful surprise will be waiting…And so, Moira runs away.
The hills are full of secrets and stories, but what you find will depend on where you go. The narrative is not branching but weaving; a mesh of history, mythology and family secrets. What truths will you discover?
Paula reviewed A Highland Song and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up.
A Highland Song is beautiful and heartwarming; it feels like you are in the highlands of Scotland that’s immersed in the area’s culture. A’body should play this game, enjoy Moira’s thoughts, and skedaddle aff over the auld highlands. A Highland Song is a wee belter of a game and one of the best games I’ve played this year when Moira and I saw the sea.

Born of Bread is a lovely RPG surprise to end the year on. A wholesome and feel-good experience that is suitable for absolutely everyone, especially if you’re looking for a more casual RPG experience. It has a plot that captures the childlike fascination and wonder of a new world, an actively engaging battle system but not too overbearing, and an overall jolly presentation that had me smiling throughout the adventure. Something delightful to enjoy in handheld or share the experience with the little one; just remember silly voices are a must. DREAMERS: A Nostalgic Adventure seems like a super fun game with a lot of heart, a cute and cozy story, and many puzzles. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play much of this title because of the issues I was having. I would suggest that if you want to play the game, you choose one of the other consoles.

If you enjoy strategy board games I 100% recommend looking into Wingspan.
