Welcome, we’re into September already which can only mean one thing at LadiesGamers: it’s time to take a look at the upcoming new release games on our favourite handheld the Nintendo Switch for September 2021.
Mind you, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. These are the games that we are taking notice of, and if given half a chance, you can expect reviews for many of them! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game mentioned, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
Alveole – September 1st 
Alveole is a minimalistic puzzle where the player must understand how to run and why does he do it?
The game is a short experimental project. That explores the possibilities of the player in a restricted environment, where there is only one game mechanic, elevated to the absolute. You can read James’ review of Alveole here.
A Good Snowman is Hard to Build – September 2nd
Even monsters need a friend! Continue exploring the world of A Monster’s Expedition as you roll yourself up a fresh set of pals in a series of cheery and accessible puzzles. In this wintery garden, snow and space are both limited. It’ll take a sharp mind and a big heart to hug them all.

Armed Emeth – September 2nd 
Valess, a boy earning petty cash in a commune of drifters is suddenly met by Lock, a stand-alone golem. Upon discovering that the leader of a criminal organization has an enormous bounty on his head. Valess receives a golem of his own from Lock. He then decides to join him on an adventure into the unknown where numerous bounties await. Thus begins their journey of grit and oil across several continents!
As well as upgradable golem equipment, there are also Edea Stones imbued with life force, specialized passive skills and special ammunition for a variety of circumstances. Visit Bounty Centers to find out information on active criminals and monsters, including their rewards, locations and special characteristics. Visit each commune and take on as many bounties as you can to find fame and fortune!
Kitaria Fables – September 2nd
Kitaria Fables is a delightfully cute action-adventure RPG with farming and crafting! Armed with a sword, bow and spellbook, fight back against rising darkness threatening the world. Discover diverse regions in search of relics and resources. Tend to your farm to grow your own provisions, and take on quests solo or with a friend in local co-op mode!
Real-time Combat, wield melee weapons, bows and forge new spells. Kit your loadout in a way that suits your preferred style of battle and craft magic, weapons and armour which compliment your play style.
Learn an Ancient Magic, when an age-old spellbook comes into your possession, use it to learn a kind of magic long-ago outlawed by The Empire and give you the edge in combat!
Gather, craft and farm, Kitaria is full of resources for you to use to your advantage! Slay monsters for ingredients. Cosmic Express – September 2nd
All aboard the Cosmic Express, a delightfully brain-melting game where the puzzles are out of this world! Your job is to lay down the train tracks across a series of tiny space stations. Each alien has a home of its own, and there’s only room for one extraterrestrial at a time in the passenger car. It’s cute, harder than it looks, and guaranteed to give you hours of challenging fun across hundreds of levels.
Fiendishly difficult puzzle design from master puzzle creator Alan Hazelden (A Monster’s Expedition, Sokobond). Ultra-adorable graphics created by Tyu Orphinae (Klondike Collective). Relaxing ambient soundtrack by Nick Dymond (Maia, The Colonists). Play using controllers or using the touch screen.
Golf Club: Wasteland – September 3rd
The rich fled to Mars but venture back to a desolate Earth for a round of golf. Each hole in the wasteland offers its own little story and possible puzzle to sink the perfect shot. Play through destroyed brutalist monuments. Crumbling shopping malls and abandoned museums as neon signs and poignant graffiti take swings at current events, Silicon Valley culture and humanity.
Piece together the full story of how humanity fell through three distinct sources. Details from the lone golfer’s story, who’s come back to Earth for one last game. The Radio Nostalgia from Mars broadcast gives a glimpse into the lives of those who escaped, and the narration of a secret spectator watching from a distance. Dice Legacy – September 9th
Dice Legacy is a dice-based survival city builder set on a mysterious ringworld. Your ship has reached the shore of an uncharted continent. Roll and use your dice to gather resources, expand and defend your settlement, survive the winter and interact with the strange inhabitants of this eerie world.
Put your faith in the dice as you gather resources, construct buildings and expand the borders of your realm. Create a strategy that fits your playstyle as you explore the wilderness. From Earth to Heaven – September 9th
From Earth to Heaven is a unique combination of a first-person platformer. As well as a light-hearted exploration game with an almost philosophical story-telling.
It is highly stylized and surprises with its breathtaking environments. Within a surreal world full of beauty and grace, and a couple of small environmental puzzles that blend perfectly into the peaceful yet stunning environments.
LoveChoice – September 10th
Three endearing and bittersweet stories about love and relationships. It’s the beginning of a new relationship. Will this one result in joy or sorrow?

Colors Live – September 14th

Set off on a delightful expedition and use your photographic eye to uncover the mysteries of the magical TOEM in this hand-drawn adventure game. Nexomon – September 17th

Spacebase Startopia – September 24th
Spacebase Startopia captivates with its original mixture of economic simulation and empire-building strategy paired with classic RTS skirmishes and a good dose of humour. And as if maintaining the three Space Station Decks, entertaining the eight Alien races and defending against enemy invaders were not enough of a challenge. The dynamic narrator AI is not going to mince matters and commentates the events in a lovely but sharp-tongued manner.
The 10-mission, fully dubbed single-player Campaign will require all your skills as Commander of the Spacebase Startopia as you strive to create one of the most attractive trade and tourism destinations in the known universe.
Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases – September 28th
Discover an untold crime story from the mysterious youth of the famous detective Hercule Poirot. In his early years as a detective, Hercule Poirot is invited to a reception by the influential Van den Bosch family, for the announcement of their daughter’s engagement. But tensions amongst the guests run high as a snowstorm descends on the town, trapping everyone inside the manor. The happy event is soon marred by the murder of one of the guests…
In the right place at the right time, Poirot immediately begins to investigate. What buried secrets and deadly rivalries will he uncover in Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases.
