Tonight the team at Serenity Forge hosted the Wholesome Snack. We loved the Wholesome Direct a couple of months ago, and now it was time to catch up on some of the Indies titles. (The wrap up the Wholesome Direct in May is here)
But lets see what games this Wholesome Snack brought us:
Pupperazzi
First, a game about photographing dogs. Many, many dogs. And doing all kinds of things your own beloved furry friend won’t do! So put your love for pups to the test. There’s a lot of dogs in Pupperazzi that need their photos taken. Photograph and catalogue the finest (and derpiest) dogs to build your career, upgrade your camera, and discover new canines.
The game is developed by Sundae Moth and published by Kitfox games. It will come to Steam, released ate yet to be announced.

Snacko
Of course, we have been following Snacko since the beginning. It was a big success on Kickstarter last June, and made 152% of the funding. Developer Bluecurse Studios showed us their latest development, like adding an Island Cultural Center to the game. In this centre you can donate the items you find in your game to various exhibits. Only coming to Steam so far (no date yet), but who knows!

Garden Story
Picogram brought this sweet looking game to life: Garden Story is a wholesome action adventure game. You play as a grape (never thought I’d be a grape!)
Concord, the youngest grape in The Grove, is now a Guardian, and it’s their job to help restore the island. That’s a lot to shoulder for a grape barely off the vine… and more than a few inhabitants are skeptical they have what it takes. Fortunately, Concord has friends like Elderberry, Rana, and Fuji on their side! With their help, you can take on the dangerous Rot and find ways to encourage other residents to assist in the efforts.
Garden Story is coming to Steam but is also confirmed for Switch and is expected in 2021.

Lonesome Village
Lonesome Village, made by OgrePixel, is a puzzle solving adventure with social simulation. You play as Wes, the Coyote, who releases villagers who have been kidnapped. Must indeed be a lonesome village! If he manages to set them free by solving puzzles, he’s got a whole lot of neighbours ton interact with in the Village.
Later this year, the game will launch a Kickstarter campaign. Want to know when the Kickstarter launches? You can find it here.

Lemon Cake
Lemon Cake is a sim game that has a management element to it. Restore an abandoned bakery and prepare pastries from farm to table! Grow fresh ingredients in the greenhouse, cook pastries & sweets in the kitchen and serve your baked goods to hungry customers in your own shop.
Exactly the kind of game for me, made by Éloïse Laroche. She’s behind Alchemy Story as well, that’s currently already in the Steam shop.

Button City
Developer Subliminal is bringing us Button City: is a colorful low poly adventure game about cute animals and an arcade. Play as Fennel the fox as you explore a diorama world, play exciting arcade games, and meet cute animal friends. Explore a high-jinks story to save the arcade from a greedy fat cat who threatens to tear it down.

Land of Screens
Serenity Forge had a couple of new games to present too, the first one was Land of Screens. The game is about going back to the basics of being without screens, computers and online connectivity. And seeing the real world again?
When Holland’s social media is lit ablaze by a recent breakup, she embarks on a new mission to ditch the social media saturation and discover some real-world relationships among a Land of Screens.

Date Night Bowling
The other new game Serenity Forge showed us was Date Night Bowling.
Then characters in search of love gather around two neon-lit bowling alleys for some date night bowling. Choose your character, find your date and try your best to hit it off. Or at least try to hit some pins!

Half Past Fate
Not a new game by Serenity Forge, but one that does fit in very well in the Wholesome Snack!
In Half Past Fate, you follow the adventures of six people and their journey through time, finding love and friendship. You are with them when they have their life changing moments, quirky events and when they make decisions that will change their future.
My review of the game is here.
