Demos, Reviews and Cardboard
Last year I joined the ladiesgamers writing team. My first post being an impressions of the Kirby Star Allies demo. After a few posts we started getting lots of game codes, starting small from puzzles and bingo to full on rpgs.
I also covered all of the Nintendo Labo releases for the year, and there’s at least one more kit coming. From my The Lost Child review on I started making video versions of almost all my reviews. However my most popular video was actually one on sorting out some issues with family memberships in regard to Nintendo Switch online. I also did some Nintendo Direct recaps and occasional other news that flew into my radar. As well as small series of video game animated adaptations.
My highlights of last year include going to AVCon in Adelaide in July, and PAX Aus in October. Some of my favourite games I reviewed were Ys VIII and West of Loathing.
This Year
As for the remainder of 2019, I’ve picked up full time study again. I’ll likely pick up less codes and focus more on the many upcoming handheld games I’m looking forward to. I also have a few handheld games I’d finished before joining that I can write about such as my Nintendogs post. So I’ll have a bit less content, but I’m still looking forward to continuing to contribute on ladiesgamers.com
Awesome!
Glad to hear about Ys VIII here.
It’s a phenomenal action RPG.
I am floored by how Nihon Falcom pulled off the charming characters, splendid story, and fun, fast-paced combat.
If Ys VIII is one of your favorites, I think Xenoblade Chronicles 2 could easily become your next one.
Have you tried it?
Yeah I’m looking forward to the next game!
Yes, I did get XC2. I don’t like the combat of it at all (or the main character’s design). If I wanted to play a game with MMO combat I’d play Final Fantasy XIV.
