What Blenzzle Is About

Blenzzle is a puzzle game that revolves around space and color. It’s a geometrical game with a delicate touch. Who would have thought that mixing colors could be so relaxing?

Game Start

Gameplay of Blenzzle

From the very beginning, Blenzzle guides you with clear instructions at each stage, especially whenever a new feature is introduced. This makes the learning curve very smooth and approachable.

The game includes 50 levels, and one Steam achievement is unlocked every 5 levels.

Blenzzle Puzzle 1
The first spice in this puzzle world

You can restart a level as many times as you want without any penalty — a feature I really appreciate as a more instinctive type of gamer. I move the colored cubes around and figure things out along the way. But even more strategic players, who prefer to plan their moves carefully, will find this feature handy.

Art, Sound and Soul of Blenzzle

While the focus is clearly on the puzzles, the visual design of Blenzzle is thoughtful and well-executed. It’s always tricky in puzzle games to get the visual balance right — the decor must be coherent with the gameplay, but subtle enough not to distract from it. Here, the balance is just right.

The visuals are minimalist, and the looping soundtrack, while not particularly memorable, blends in well. It doesn’t interrupt the rhythm or immersion of the experience.

Who could have thought that geometry class would be helpful in that way?

It’s important to point out that this game was created by a single person. That alone is impressive! The game is simple yet effective. It’s a gentle, frustration-free gaming experience. A solo female developer has managed to create a game where visuals, sound, and gameplay all align beautifully. That definitely deserves recognition!

Minor issue

There’s one small area that could be improved: the saving system. Blenzzle doesn’t remember where you left off. You have to manually remember the last level you played, as the game won’t automatically resume or even highlight your progress. It’s a minor annoyance, but one worth mentioning.

Conclusion

There are plenty of puzzle games out there, so why choose Blenzzle? Because it promises a gentle, enjoyable time. It gives your brain a chance to step off the fast-paced treadmill of everyday life and gently guides you into a stress-free, focused distraction. That’s the gift Blenzzle offers.

And the fact that you can support an indie developer working solo on her passion project? What more reason do you need? Just hop in!
