The Gameplay of Bunny Hop Hop
Bunny Hop Hop is an adorable and chaotic game with such a wonderful colour palette. You play as Bunny the Rabbi,t and the point of the game is to clear all pollution from the skies in a variety of different levels. Hop, skip and jump across the floating blocks to bring the colour back while either avoiding or taking down the various enemies who are trying to re-pollute the blocks or chase you down.

Be aware, some of the enemies look super cute, such as the early on fox, but don’t trust that adorable demeanour as all they want to do is stop you in your mission. In addition to the block enemies, you also have angry clouds that drop what appear to be ice rocks onto the blocks, which can also hurt you. If you are hurt twice in the level, it’s game over and you have to begin the level again.
Some of the levels of Bunny Hop Hop contain various objects such as carrots, hearts and things to use as weapons against the enemies. Make sure to collect these if you can; they will make life slightly easier for you in your mission. You also have the capability of a portal on some levels. This will move you from one to the other and back again and can only be used by you, so this can help you get out of some sticky situations.

Once you have ensured all the colours of the blocks are the same, and you’ve rid them of any pollution, you have to hop on the pearlescent-looking button. This can be found on any one of the blocks, but be prepared when doing this, because the level gives you a 10-second countdown to reach the happy cloud. If you reach this, it whisks you away from the pollution, and the blocks finally leave the sky.

The controls for Bunny Hop Hop are based either on controller or keyboard & mouse but are super easy to use once you get used to it. However, what I did find myself doing a LOT is jumping off the edge of the blocks, yes, this can be done, and you respawn back on the blocks, so bear that in mind when hopping around quickly.
Additional Comments
Taking into consideration how simple and adorable Bunny Hop Hop looks, you’ll find there is quite a challenge too, but it’s a fun kind of challenge. The artwork draws you into the game, and you begin to care about the bunny and not wanting these pollution enemies to win. I easily found myself wanting to play more of this game and constantly had the age-old thought of ‘just one more level’. The game only has 20 levels, but this is enough of a challenge and time for you to enjoy the game.

Conclusion
Bunny Hop Hop is a very engaging and fun game to play, just make sure you have no plans for the day as you may find yourself in the same predicament I was in of wanting to play just one more level. The colours, cozy aspect, and the challenge the game gives all contribute to an all-round fun game to play and even enjoy with the family, who may have a giggle at the foxes, monkeys, clouds and many other animated and cheeky characters trying to stop you on your mission to clear the skies of pollution.
Bunny Hop Hop is out now on Steam (and a demo is available), but it would be a fantastic game to play on the Steam Deck (which, at the moment of writing, is not currently verified but in the process), so keep your eyes peeled for that.
